Here here, we all love to hate Papa but he seems to be running a stable ship atm, but still he creams off the top, but is that not his job to do what he wants .... after all we all now know its his ball etc......
Football has now been ruined totally, it won't be long before it flls flat on its behind, you mark my word.
But until then MOT
& there are still numptys who don't the fact that Papa Smurf save the club & put us back on a sound financial footing. We nearly went out of business despite having a massive fanbase. Heaven help smaller clubs who try to live their dream. Sooner or later a supposedly big club will either go out of business or slip down beyond L1 to obscurity.
At least we're MOT in the right direction
I really don't know if I would want a massive backer like MancShitty or Chelski has, they won'y stay around forever & where will they be, may be Pappa is doing the right thing. we won't be chalenging for top honours for years to come BUT we are Leeds we are mighty.... MOT
For growth to be lasting it has to be from the bottom. When the academy starts producing again we will be sustainable.
While-ever the club is self sustaining it will remain the fans club. Mancity, Chelsea, and Wigan have had their souls removed and have become bank accounts.
yorkshire evening post has an article stating that a third of championship club pay more in wages than the club earn, it also state the football league are trying to bring the same format that the Prem are using, you can only spend what you make and no more.
there are other items being talked about so ill let you read the article instead of telling you everything

Bates is robbing us blind and you think he's shrewd...
********************
Well said WW, it's quite scary when you see Leeds fans praising the gangster who just robbed them blind.
Nobody is suggesting that we spend big money but remember Bates is the guy who said the profits were being saved to buy back Thorpe Arch...what a crock that was!

Bates saved our club? If never ending ticket price hikes and not investing profits into the club means saving then yes he saved our club.
Bates talks alot, lets have something delivered.
I will believe when it is delivered.
I do believe though that he was correct when he said we would have to pay for premier league football, unfortunately we have been watching L1 and championship football.
Last season was a massive chance for promotion,we failed because the team was not improved in january,Why Bates???? You failed us again.
Bring back the kids whens the last time you were at Elland Rd, 3 restraints, conference centre, revamp of east stand upper, these dont cost do they. What ever planet your from i suggest you go back, think before you open it in future.
Of course he take the cream, its a business of course he's going to take a cut, show me any business owner who doesn't take a cut of the profits.
Article in the Yorkshire Evening post state that a lot of clubs in the championship pay more in wages than the club make. Bates is tight with his money, We made a profit of 2m, lets wait and find out how much we spend.
If we didn't spend money then we wouldn't get any decent to brilliant players, this means we'll languish in championship till cows come home..
Languishing in Championship till cows come home ain't going forward I'm afraid.
Bates had an opportunity to buy Thorpe Arch back when he sold Delph, but did he?.....No.
Bates is only interested in recouping what he forked out, then making profit for himself.
Walsall...Recent posts led me to believe you'd grown a few braincells but they obviously didn't survive the lobotomy.
Stop talking like an hystrical girl and save your energy to try again with the braincells. You don't know it makes sense but you will if the operation works.
Lets look at the facts, kids pay full price in the west and east
stands,why?
Kids only allowed in family stand with a membership.
Kids restrictions are unneccessary.
Kids are the future of the club so why not encourage them as opposed to the Bates way?
It is complete incompetence
How many kids do you own. You've been going on and on for a long long time about kids prices, Write a letter to Bates, You may even get a mention in his article in the program,
Why on earth would I want a mention from that low life?
Whether I have kids or not is totally irrelevant.
With thousands of empty seats there is no need for restrictions on kids, its a massive long term mistake
A few things, we made two mill after selling players.
Would have been a loss overwise
Some people get this idea bates is shrewd.
WTF chelsea was never finished and leeds went into admin
leedsmadness, are you seriously suggesting that kids tickets should pay for revamping ER?
The secret with kids is to get them early so they will pester there parents for an early return.
With every young kid comes an adult paying full price and another lifetime fan
No i dont expect kids to pay for the improvement, Bate expect us parent to pay for the kids, Cheaper price in all areas of the ground for kid would be good. Its not going to happen.
We had one of the highest wages pay out last year, But still only 50% of income. Players are still being paid now but the club has no income over the summer.
Maybe Bates had prior warning or he realised football was sinking in debt, With the Football League looking into ways of changing this, with this in mind it will be less pain fall for us. 80% of the Football Leagues debt is in the championship,
