Ah man, needs must at the start!!! You take what's there and hope for the best!!!!
would people be interested in an auction draft next year?
i have to tell you though, it can take a long time...
Scratching my head when looking at some of the guys i(we) missed during the draft!!!
Kelvin Bnejamin in the seventh round
I've never considered it to be honest. Im not against it. It would just really require EVERYONE fully in i guess.
I ask because i run an nba fantasy league that is drafting tomorrow night, and this is the second year that we will be doing an auction draft.
I changed it (democratically like north korea lets say) last year because i had a lot of the guys complain about their team's draft position etc the previous year.
The benefit of the auction draft is that it makes no difference where you draft from. You REALLY want a player, just bid for him.
It allows you to build exactly the team you want without getting sniped from the person before you. ng of your budget.
After the draft, every single person in the league (12 teams) said they wanted the auction next year because they all felt they had a good draft, and fair enough, it was the most competitive season we have had of the 5 weve been running it... even the guy that finished last in the regular season was in the playoff contention until the week before last.
How long did it take in total?
ill answer that question more accurately tomorrow after the draft, but it can take 2 hours... but i can post the start and finish time tomorrow of the draft so you get a better idea
ah that aint too bad, the standard takes the best part of 90 mins.
URGH! Just changed my team around to accommodate Shady out and Zeke bye, and it makes me feel a bit sad!
NBA draft eh? I'm second to last to pick my spot in the draft so I'm expecting the worst this year. Well, I did win with 5th pick last year so who knows.
But in terms of auction drafts, I wouldn't mind giving that a try!
Man, I own Alshon in my money league and I think he's the most disappointing player I have so far. Hopefully, the Cutlet comes back next week. I don't know how much longer I can start him.
I owned him last year and it was like having an elite receiver, that you could only bank on 20% of the time.

Is there an NBA draft?
Not for JA, I don't think. I'll be down to set up a league if we can get enough people.
Didn't do any auction drafts this year but I did a few to practise. Quite good but I prefer standard.

Mick, what is your take on the trade? Youre usually the voice of reason on here, arguably the experienced one considering you started the league...
Is it fair?
Which side would you rather have been on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was DDFP who started the league
And my advice ain't worth shiiiiit right now after the way my team have played (although I am topping the table in my other leagues).
I think the winner of the trade comes down to how the Pats use Gronk. If he keeps losing touches to Bennett then you win, if the old Gronk comes back then you lose.
The rest of the trade is not far off 50/50.
Owned Kapernick for all of 12 hours but now if he puts in a big performance he could win it this week for DDFP
Why is the next waiver not clearing until Wednesday?
Normally the second one clears Saturday morning?
I think at a point on Friday its like 'no return' and the next round is Wed again.
What? As in nobody put in a request?
I am happy with that so long as i am not stitched up like last week and lose my high waiver spot
You're waiver spot this week will be determined by where you finish up though! So if you jump to 2nd, you'll have the 11th waiver. Should I crush Jumbo, and he stays last, he'll have the 1st waiver, and so on. This weeks positions dont mean squat unfortuntely.
Surely that isn't the case as i didn't use a waiver and am currently second on the waiver list.
