Well according to other reports we only need to up the bid by £99, 999, 915 and we're there.
I can see this dragging out all summer
Good to see Ed starting off with a nice low offer.

It'd be stupid to try to do it any quicker.
Drop the offer, then step away and let the agent do his job whilst Juve think about what rejecting EUR100m whilst retaining a disgruntled player would mean.

On a serious note, the amount of money is indeed obscene. In saying that, it's just numbers, transferring from one bank account to another. Manchester United is a money making machine, and those numbers will be regenerated quickly enough. Not too dissimilar to donating blood, the body soon replenishes what's been lost.
I look forward to seeing Pogba back in a United shirt.

Straight battle between United and AFC Telford for the signature?
Waste of time really.
Juve already know what United are willing to pay straight off (£100m)
If they dig their heels in that will really test United's resolve and wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being even higher than that.
What we gain in terms of PR and hype with this deal makes up for a lot of the fee.
In the past few years we've dropped off the map in terms of being competitive and it has damaged the brand. We need to make a statement signing or two and that shows the world we can compete for the top players
We don't have an amazing beach or the world's most cosmopolitan city but we do have history and a huge wallet which is our best weapon.
Its either gonna be spent on a player like pogba or will sit in the Glazers account. I know which I prefer
Also, we got Zlatan for nothing...
Mourinho has already stated he wants the business done quickly.
I imagine the club will soon submit the £100m bid. Or we may find some middle ground, with our representatives trying to make up a bit of ground on the massive £ to € drop since brexit (the £100m figure was been put about before that).
I've seen the OP and a few other say they would prefer 3 good players instead of 1 top player.
But we already have a squad full of £30m players that are failing to make the desired impact... adding 3 more just bloats the squad.
I'd rather get some top class players in and hope they bring out the best in the good players we have... Like Herrera and MS.

Robben,
I don't mind the complaints so much, each to their own . With more and more money being flushed into the game, it stands to reason that that transfer fees will increase astronomically as well as salaries for the higher end players.
Pogba is certainly in one of the top brackets of footballers, has tasted silverware multiple times now, is at an age where we may get some of his best years, and he offers much of what our midfield has been lacking for quite some time.
Get him signed double quick.
Juventus must be loving and hating this in equal measure. Loving the enormous profit that they stand to make on the player, and hating the knowledge that playing in Serie A they will never be able to compete financially with teams that they are the equal of in everything but finance. When I was a kid I was always in awe of Juventus. To me they were bigger than Barca, Madrid or United. Championship manager 97/98 they were my team every time.
Also.... If you didn't know that ibra was on a free and miki was in his last year.... you'd be buzzing about collectively signing ibra, miki, pogba for £126m
I know that is a bit of an abstract way of looking at it... but the end result is the same... 3 top players that can really influence our season.

Agree.
People say we could get 3 players but where would they play?
GK? Sorted
CB? We bought Bailly
RB? We might buy Fabinho even with a Pogba deal
LB? Well covered
CM? We have Morgan, Carrick, Bastian, Herrera and Blind
Wing? We have Micky and Martial
Forward? We're well stocked
I wonder how much game time Depay and Januzaj will see this season. I'm assuming they'll be used as back up for Martial and Mkhitaryan. On paper that's 4 very talented players competing for two spots, if Jose can work his magic on motivating Depay.
And to think I was excited when my club broke its transfer record this summer....at £1.87M
Ridiculous amount of money for someone who isn't even close to being the best player in the world but if a club can afford it then it doesn't really matter. I bet Juventus can't believe their luck.
Where I would probably agree with others about how to better use the fee would have been a top, top CB and a top CM.
Jose clearly wants to give Jones another shot though, and i'm happy with that and we have quality backup for if/when the plan backfires (Mourinho's teams generally have less injury problems, so maybe his training methods will allow Jones a better season)
Forward? We're well stocked

How do you define top player though?
You'd say Messi and Ronaldo.. But put them in midfield and they'd become the 1000th best players in the world
In terms of central midfielders he's one of the best in the world and has monstrous potential. He's also a marketing dream. We won't lose out financially, I can assure you of that
