Eurosport saying he's chosen to join us. Sounds pretty confident, although I've no idea how reliable they are.
His agent was also at the friendly game yesterday, according to his instagram.
Id love this to happen but we surely have to be selling a couple of wide men if we go for Mahrez?
Sanchez, Mahrez, Chamberlain, Walcott, Gnabry, Campbell + Iwobi all vying for 2 positions.
7 Wingers/AM and 1 striker would be a facking joke. Nevermind the fact Ramsey has been moved to RM and Wilshere/Ozil are also capable of playing wide. Welbeck if he ever returns.
Mahrez is better than the majority of them, so I'd love him, but at least 2 or 3 have to go.
Yeah Ron, it still doesn't solve the striker issue. Also it means alexis will be on the left, where he is so frustrating.
I think Sanchez can rediscover his form on the left if we sign a mobile striker and RW, to give the opposition more to worry about.
He's so predictable because our team is so predictable, Mahrez will go halfway to solving this! £42m shouldn't blow the whole budget, particularly if we can chuck Walcott/Campbell in as part of the deal.
I'd have Ozil, Sanchez and Mahrez in behind Giroud then. With Walcott and Welbeck helping to cover for Giroud and wide positions and Campbell, Iwobi and Chaimberlain are not bad understudies either. Good attacking options Arsenal have.
Lack of a striker.
Improving our striking options is only part of our problem. Need to be finding more goals from elsewhere too so I'd be happy to sign a prolific wideman such as Mahrez if we can't get in another striker to challenge/replace Giroud.
As for whether there's any truth to the rumours... can't help you, I'm afraid.
How did we get on vs. Lens btw?
I'd have Ozil, Sanchez and Mahrez in behind *new mobile striker* then

Facking dreamy
Lex, some really never be happy...
If this is true and we sign Mahrez it means we dont spend money on a CF this summer unless some bargain come into our way which is unlikely.
It surely means that Sanchez and Walcott could move to a CF position and OG still an important man in our game.
Eurosport FR and Infosport are the only ones reporting it so far. Let's see what the rest of the day brings.
Infosport were the first news outlet to report Schneiderlin's move to United last year.
Alv, Sanchez has never really convinced me on the left though. Constantly choosing the wrong option, always cutting in predictably. Hope this means Wenger sees alexis at c.f. as a more viable option.
Maybe Alexis wilĺ be our "new" striker and Mahrez his replacement on the wings

Fack knows. Chambo did a nice goal though
I can't really see Sanchez as an out and out CF. He needs a partner in my opinion. Would love to see it given a go through, the team feels really stale at the minute.
Going by the reaction to yesterday, Walcott is still the same as ever. We can't go into the season with him as our only option up front.

Riyad Mahrez's agent has denied there is any interest from Arsenal in player despite reports in France today #lcfc
In other news, Tony Adams has rejected us for a lucrative move to China. Reportedly.

And higuains gonna join juve
Mahrez gonna sign a new contract next week then...
He is Shorter odds to join us than to stay at Leicester. If you think this ain't happening then put a bet on it
Would be a fantastic signing, one of the best of the window so far.
Re the striker issue: I think we really have to consider using sanchez up top. There is really nothing that appealing out there at the moment. Sanchez biggest weakness of giving the ball away through bad passes can be removed by making him a selfish striker
Mahrez and a ST would be one hell of a summer...

Bels - Per/Gab - Koss - Monreal
---------Xhaka----Cazorla/Ramsey---
Mahrez-----Ozil----Sanchez
------------Icardi/ST-------------
Still lacking that decent CB but Chambers could step up this season..I believe we will sell few then maybe reinvest. A man can dream.
