With Mahrez wide it could give Sanchez an opportunity to become our Suarez, he has that in his locker for me to get 25-30 goals playing through the middle. Also I would not right Walcott off in team attacking with pace which it would be if he was teamed up with Sanchez and Mahrez as a front 3. Also I think with our midfield options I would expect Santi to act as the back up to Ozil at no. 10 with Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Coq and Elneny vying for the 2 deeper midfield roles.

£40m for someone who plays in the same position as our best player and only had one good season, could be a risk. Personally I don't think Sanchez has been great when used as a striker for us, yeah he has all the attributes except maybe playing with his back to goal but for example his movement is predicated on his positioning which is usually from wide positions not centrally. Ronaldo's a good example of this, on the face of it he's attributes mean hes probably more suited to playing up front then wide but because he's played wide nearly all his career, he still struggles to adapt and ends up back out wide.

Sanchez upfront is a decent shout, with Mahrez, Ozil, Theo, Ox and others to deal with...It just may open spaces for likes of Theo or Sanchez if they play of top.

With magicians like Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez, Mahrez there is no doubt the striker will get insane amount of chances to finish, if he makes the right runs and develops a understanding with others.

Also with much compact CMs we have CB problem might will make little impact..Could even potentially play Coq into CB as he is experienced RB should not take much learning.

It would make Arsenal such fluid attacking wise and compact defensive wise, that someone like Pep would dream to manage.

Can't see this happening, would make too much sense.

Although his agents denied it, the media must need some excitement, it's being posted everywhere. If it happens even though we may not get our striker I think we will be there or there abouts barring injury melt downs come the end of the season.

Can't understand why ppl think Mahrez is going to be the answer to any of our problems. He is the closest to Pires's style in the game; but that meant being able to pass to players running behind the opposition. This why a Mahrez/Vardy combination worked so well at Leicester. We don't have a striker like Vardy who can run behind the opposition. So someone please explain how he would suit us?

Think people are assuming signing Mahrez, or someone similar, would mean Alexis would be tried up front again, J99. Maybe even Walcott would get another crack of the whip... then again, maybe not...

He would be a cracking signing if true. He glides past players with ease lime Pires used.to do and can score goals with ease. I'd have.him on the left with Sanchez on the right or just swap them around during the game.

Mahrez - Ozil - Sanchez
-------------Giroud

We would have Iwobi, Oxlade, Walcott and Campbell as cover.

Rvp played for us when we knew he was United bound, that doesn't mean much.

I doubt the move will happen though

Alexis played behind the striker at Udinese. A no.10. Ozil is also a no.10. And so is Mahrez.

Giroud is nothing more than a no.10, with his flicks. and touches.

So who is our no.9?

Its fecking stupid. We have gone through, Arshavin, Gervinho, Podolski, Walcott, Oxlade, Ramsey, Wilshere, Alexis, Ozil, Santi, Welbeck, Iwobi, Gnabry, Ryo, Campbell wide since RVP left. Yet somehow they have all been labelled rubbish.

Someone explain why Mahrez would make a difference. I think at some point you have admit the problem might the useless striker they have all played behind! Thats what we need not another fecking winger being set up to fail!

We're still short of quality at RW Jenius and that's where Mahrez would be utilised.

Would Giroud still hold the team back - yes. He needs replacing regardless of who comes in to other positions as he's an average player with sheet movement.

All that said this Mahrez rumour is BS no doubt anyway.
