Balo- be lucky if we don't have to release him in order to get rid of him.

Hes basically like Moreno, good going forward, has enough pace can defend when in position to do so but never facking is so its pointless. You wonder what some good coaching can do for these 2 players, its probably to do with focusing as they react but only when its too late so they clearly know where theyre meant to be just rarely ever are.

Only difference between him and Moreno is that unlike Moreno, he can actually cross a semi decent ball when he gets forward.

Neither are good enough though. Hopefully we bring in Amavi or Hector now, hector being the preferred one.

Said when we was interested in Moreno we should have gone for Ricardo Rodriguez at Wolfsburg instead.

Ricardo Rodriguez is probably the best attacking left back in the world along with Marcelo. Gonna be fun watching Madrid when they have both.

Rodriguez is a similar sort of player, just not quite as poor defensively and again better going forward.

Think he's a better fit for a side like Real or Barca where they don't have to defend much and his strengths would shine through most.

Hector would be an extremely solid left back, he might not offer a lot going forward, but with the amount of attacking players we look like we'll have available he won't need to.

Barca can't afford Rodriguez, he'll go to Madrid. He's not as good as Marcelo, though. Love Marcelo.

Yeah plus they've just signed Digne, so don't need him, perhaps next summer if they shift jordi Alba on next summer they'll look to him.

I just love my fullbacks who can really defend, such an enormous amount of fullbacks these days who are liabilities defensively it just gets on my tiiiits. So when I finally see one who knows what he's doing I get excited.

I gravitate more to those kind of fullbacks rather than Marcelo because of that.

That's fair. I like my full backs to be able to do both. But I do like an attacking full back. Especially when they have mad skills like Marcelo. I can forgive his clownishness in defence when he turns into Messi on the wing.

I do like fullbacks who can do both as well, but if it's a choice between a Maldini or a roberto Carlos, the Paolo wins every day for me.

Me too, Roberto Carlos is one of the most overrated players of all time.
