While time might well be up for Walcott, it's a bit silly to read to much into todays game.
We do desperately need a new CF though, same as the last 6 transfer windows.
He has never really recovered from that injury at Spurs. Shame, but the truth is we have younger players with more hunger who can take his place now.
Not just reading into today's game. Basically every game where he has played up front.
He's finished as an Arsenal player. If we was at Everton or West Ham he would do a job for them but he is now way past it to be playing for a team that wants to challenge for the title.
I remember when you signed him thinking it was a lot of money for a 17 year old. However, over the next few months I thought “wow, he’s got the lot; pace, skill, technique, he’ll be some player in a few years” Unfortunately, that was as good as it got for Theo, he hasn’t progressed. He’s still a good player for a 17 year old, unfortunately he’s now 27.
Whether it’s due to injuries, motivation, or that he’s just reached his natural peak, he’s not good enough for where Arsenal want to be, certainly not for the starting 11. For a club like Arsenal he’s at best a squad player. Either use him like that or move him out, I don’t think he can complain he hasn’t been given a chance. Whether Arsene will see it that way is another matter though.
Rubbish....we are in pre-season ffs.
Chamberlain looks like world beater again. Let's wait and see.
Lol it's preseason
As already mentioned, Ox is looking like an absolutely gun of a player once again.
Walcott, Gibbs, Ox, Wilshere will all be failures. The only reason they've managed to stay at a CL team for so long is Wenger's deluded faith in them.

You care much?
I don't think Walcott is as bad as many make out but we should cash in.
His ability doesn't match his wages and we could probably get a decent figure for him.
All that said we know Arsenal wouldn't reinvest the money so we might as well keep him...

Walcott and others have been mismanaged by Wenger. Since he went senile a few years back he is no longer the top manager h used to be.

Can't believe some people still defend Walcott. He's had 2 good spells in Arsenal: the season before and after RVP's departure, and for 2 or so months before the ACL injury against Spurs in the FA Cup. He's spent the majority of his time at Arsenal with performances ranging from mediocre to embarrassing. Walcott barely looks worthy of being a League 1 pro at times. No strength on the ball, no dribbling skills, no link-up ability, poor control, average workrate and a glaringly weak mentality with several spells where he clearly suffers a crisis of confidence.
As pony as he is, he winds me up further by his absurd demands about where he should play and somehow managing to repeatedly make a mug of the idiots running the club with his absurd wages and making a major drama of every contract renewal. If only we tried as hard to keep several important departures.

Precisely. Theo can do no wrong with some people on this site.
the guy is as overrated as they come. His lack of improvement is embarrassing.
Last season when he hurdled a challenge without attempting to go for the ball because he's a coward was the last straw for me.
Walcott is terrible, isn't even quick anymore
More and more fans waking to the fact that he is an average player with a limited skill set, the best of which is pace, which he will soon lose due to age and injury...
this is the perfect time to sell him for good money and move on.
How some fans still defend him is beyond me.... he has had about 15 decent games at Arsenal in 10 years.
He has stolen a good living based on 5 or 6 good finishes at the right time for his career.
If Arsenal cannot do better than him, I despair.
Average player. Good pace but nothing to go with it. Doesn't have the crossing ability of a winger, not an out and out one anyway. Doesn't have the finishing ability to be a good striker either. He's just stuck in the middle.
Not been mismanaged, but not been able to develop one part of his game well enough. On his day, he can be a good player, but he is very inconsistent when he plays well.
