must admit that i get in a bad mood when i go to Bahamas, sh**te place
He should've been annoyed as his in play tactical changes cost us big time
don't worry poch you should have called me, I would have punched them all right in the snout.
the bunch of caaaaants. absolute disgrace that final day "performance" was
it was abysmal...but as spurs fans were we resally all that surprised......
I am GLAD our Manager feels and felt this way
This shows he cares and that he is serious about what happened. Hopefully we learn from this silly error as a squad and move on from it!!
I will not be holding my breath though. This weak and miserable attitude has been following our club for too long now, especially and more-so, when it comes to our nemesis at the Emirates.
The Newcastle performance was the last (and the worst) in a series of dreadful showings that cost us 2nd in the league. Remember we were infront against West Brom, Chelsea and Southampton and failed to win any of those games.
He and the players need to take a look at themselves for that game.
Where was the desire and application from the players?
What on earth was Poch playing at with his tactical change?
It is nice to see he cares and i have no doubt he cares, i like that. Martin Jol and Tim Sherwood really cared passionately too and thats what i like to see in a manager/head coach.
Was it Pochs fault? I dont think so. It was the Bielsa burnout no matter what the formation or tactical instructions we were destined to lose the game we were shattered. As proven by the likes of Alli and Kane at the euros who were out on their feet. Southampton was bad, WBA was bad, Chelsea was bad we didnt have the legs for it.
It was a disgrace to lose to a newcastle side devoid of any fight, chracter or commitment it was a disgrace to lose by so many goals, it was a disgrace to finish third in a two horse race.
I dont blame the players or Poch i blame the recruitment. Every season a poch team fades but if you give him the options he will rotate for example the full backs who were fresh as a daisy all season long.
We finished third with one forward on our books all season unheard of, never been done before i dont think the media appreciate that enough.
We move on this season but we are competing with world class managers, huge budgets and a squad that lacks depth still. I'll be happy with fifth or at worse sixth.
I thought they seemed more mentally exhausted though. Once the league title was gone their heads were down.

I take this point, but a 5-1 away defeat at a relegated side, when you still have the runners up spot to secure ahead of our fierce rivals is absolutely unacceptable in all situations apart from the whole squad being affected by some kind of bug, and just about scraping out an 11.
Not gonna disagree Chronic
LLM and Chronic I agree entirely with both your sentiments tbh. That Newcastle game still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Good to hear Poch hasn't forgotten about it either!
We didn't lose the game because of the dammed Bielsa burnout ffs. We lost because the players heads has gone following the Chelsea game. The level of application in that game was clearly shambolic, absolutely no way should they be ran ragged by a team that had been relegated 4 days prior to it.
Newcastle had pride to play for, we had points and prize money to play for. They showed the desire to go and get it
Totally agree LLM
Apart from the last bit, still believe we have what it takes to finish top four.
Yes the Manchester clubs and Chelsea have new high profile managers and high profile signings but all three will be in transition.
We already have a very good coach, a set of very talented players and most importantly continuity with a settled squad.
I just don't think the likes of Ibrahimovic, Gundogan, Nolito, Batsyuayi, Mikytarian, and Kante are any better than Kane, Eriksen, Lamela, Dembele, and Alli.
Maybe Kante who is a top top player but Dembele runs him close.
I think we have bought very well in Wanyama and Janssen, yes not huge names but nonetheless will be astute buys imo.

That and the Chelsea game have pretty much taken the shine off the season for me.
Ledley the Chelsea game for me showed a lack of experience. By that, I mean losing their cool for stages. However in contrast to the Newcastle game, at least against Chelsea there was drive and fight present. Gimme the Chelsea performance over the non show of the Newcastle game any week!
They shouldn't have lost their cool, totally unacceptable. Wasn't the first time they'd froze in the second half either. Just go for the throat, kill them off and then laugh at them and their sorry season
Poch clearly doesnt care about spurs only himself, thats why he was trying to get the chelsea job all summer
