Sterling has potential and we have the best manager to get the best out of him....No improvement this season and he's off though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mario Goetze had potential once. What did Pep do for him?
ONH why is Mourinho currently better than Pep? Last Season Pep Won the German League & Cup double. Mourinho was sacked by christmas
Jose is currently better than Pep? Come on Stocky Snake he's been on the dole for the past 6 months. Weak even for you.
Difficult to compare both sides transfer windows as both clearly have different priorities. United clearly feel the need to start winning silverware again, Pep on the other hand will be afforded a similar first season to Klopp, his job is safe whether we challenge for the title or not, and the players he has bought reflect that.
Look what he did for Kingsley Coman. some make it some don't improve
This dīck swinging contest is hilarious.

There isn't a definitive answer to who is better? The difference is Pep has always had top top players and Jose hasn't quite had that and still being successful. That's not to take away anything from Pep who did a wonderful job at Barca. He took Bayern sideways though. Jose had a disaster last season but I think it was a once. I think their time in Manchester will go a long way to proving who is the better manager.

Ranieri is the best manager in the Premier league then

Agree. At the moment I'd say it was 1-1 between them... Mourinho did give a tramp a 20 note, but Guardiola was awfully nice to that ginger kid he shared a cab with.

Only De Gea would get in our side at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Smalling would walk into your defence.
Shaw would get in over Clichy.
Martial over Sterling.
Apart from that, you're right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you ill...
Smalling to walk in to City's defence? Otamendi and Kompany over Mike without any shadow of a doubt.
Shaw? Not proven at CL level and long term injury last season, I'd stick with Clichy for proven experience and consistency (at least for this season, clearly Shaw has the potential).
Martial over Sterling, without a shadow of a doubt! I don't think anyone could disagree with that

Smalling was miles better than Otamendi last season and Kompany can't last three games without going down in a heap.
United fans were crowing about all their signings last summer , only Martial has come through ,even he isn't first choice now
"Smalling was miles better than Otamendi last season and Kompany can't last three games without going down in a heap."
Pellegrini's defensive organisational skills (or lack of) did nothing for the likes of Otamendi, Mangala or Fernando. All of those players were made to look worst than they actually are last season by our tactical set up. I expect Pep to be able to revive the career of at least one of them.

I think there were plenty not sold on Schweini - with good reason, and plenty more were asking question about who Martial was and why were we paying so much money. Don't think there were all that many crowing, especially when lots were sceptical about having a manager that liked to play with the handbrake on.

"I think there were plenty not sold on Schweini - with good reason"
VC was backing up Schweinsteiger, and as the official spokesperson of your board...
They were giving it the bigun about Schweinsteiger, Falcao and Di Maria and Depay in seasons before they never learn that big signings don't gaurantee success.
Just ask Madrid fans between 2003-2013 signed every "galactico" in the world with little success.
I personally think United have done the better business in the short term but also have the young players at the club to be able to do this.

I do wonder sometimes if you are for real Was just reading a statement from Paul Breitner who has tweeted that Pep has taken Bayern to another level in the 3 years since he has been at the club. All this from a Bayern Great also endorsed by Phillip Lahm. It seems the players past & present have more regard for Pep than the arrogants who were begging for him to join them but now say he is a fraud.

Pep failed with a quality Bayern team so what is he going to do with the rapidly aging City team?
Their out solution of outspend everyone by hundreds of million pounds isn't workable anymore either....
Tough times ahead for our angry neighbours.
old solution not out solution
How much did van gaal spend again?
Net or not?
Either way a small small fraction of the near billion pounds City have invested to acquire their current aging team that scraped 4th last year.
