Whether it's Pogba or not I hope the club know the situation so we can move onto alternatives if the move does fall through.

.............

Indeed.

................

I'm pretty confident we will get him

.................

If Madrid really are interested, I bet you wouldn't be that confident.

posted on 2/8/16

I reckon they are interested, I just don't think they're willing to match Juve's valuation and the agent fee.

Exactly. And that's why we offered so much money. To price Real out of the game.

No , just not stupid.

Messing about. Read he's signed a new contract.

posted on 2/8/16

No, it's just a lot of money and a fee we have had to meet if we want to realistically bring in real quality and get back to winning ways.

We all know it's a crazy fee but luckily we have the finds and they seem to be affordable, sometimes you have to over spend to bring in the players you really want and rather than moan about ow much it is just be glad we can afford it.

I think he's playing on the fact people say we should sign XYZ as if we can click fingers and Shazam!

Pogba is available it seems, he's an excellent player, if we've got the money we shouldn't be too picky.

This could be he start of something BIG again at United.

No, you deffo made your name as some sort of ITK twitter guy.

...........

No he didn't Robb. Arab was around long before he kept us abreast of transfer sagas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Over the past few years he made his name as a twitter guy. Nothing wrong with that. But I feel he gave up too quickly with this Pogba thing. Like he's jaded with the type of story that he's drip fed to us over the years
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Robb, he's been around far longer than his twitter days. If anything, Arab comes in quite handy for info based on reliable-ish sources.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, I agree his updates are handy and I'm not even having a go at him about that. This place would be less interesting without them.

But most know him as the twitter guy because he's become a scoop guy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Matth would be tell you to "jog on" if he ever read that.

In fairness to Arab, he does get in there first with new transfers and sacking and the like. Can't knock that!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, I deffo agree. I do look forward to seeing them. My only issue is that he gave up way too early on the pogba thing even though all his sources say it's a done deal.

Seeing Arab give up on a twitter rumour is like seeing Santa Claus refuse to give a kid a ride on his knee in December
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldn't say he gave up. It seems he has qualms about the size of the fee for one player.....something I agree with.

But he doesn't want to join United so it's all a waste of time, him and his agent are having a right laugh at some of our fans expense

Do people have realistic alternatives now we know Kante, Verratti and Kroos are all unavailable?

Yes we know Matuidi, but he should be "as well as" not "instead of" IMO.

I dont have an issue with him not wanting pogba.. More that he seemed to think he wasn't coming even though the sources he normally trusts think its a done deal.

Anyway, the article has moved onto Shazam. Shaqs biggest and best movie role

If Real wanted him we wouldn't be able to price them out of the game, would we?

If they want him they will get him and there is zilch we can do about it.

Wanting him is one thing, being willing to pay the fee and agent cost that is required is another.

He'd choise Madrid if the offers were the same, no question.

posted on 2/8/16

Madrid won't even need to match United's ridiculous offer, Juve have spent a fortune so need to sell, Pogba wants to go to Madrid, they know this and are playing it perfectly, biding their time and then end up Lowballing Juve when the season nears

posted on 2/8/16

I'm not so sure VC, they're not as vocal about signing "1 Galactico per season" as they were.

And remember the Barca president saying about how they didn't want to get left behind the Prem.

And also they're always in and out of the FFP headmaster's office, so maybe they're on a transfer ban again?

Or maybe they're still waiting for their government loan to go through?

They're not as vocal that's for sure. As te DDG thing, they wanted him but didn't get him. Broken fax??? tTey must've been desperate when they came up with that load of betty swollocks. Seemed to me they couldn't afford to match our valuation and DDG got restless, saw the mega deal we offered that probably dwarfed them peasants' offer and signed with us.

With the exceptions of Giggs, Scholes & Red Nev, I can't think of any other player in the world that wouldn't
