What do we actually know?

...............

We all really know nothing here. Every thing from twatbook or the media has not yet come to pass.

Everyone is just guessing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hence the question. We as fans know nothing at all.

Why not? They have incredibly rich owners, make good money themselves and the fee is to be paid in 2 instalments. If Palace can afford to bid £30m for some Belgian guy most of us had never heard then I think Juve can afford to spend £75m over 2 payments.

They haven't just spent the higuain money though have they?

Pogba and adidas have pretty much said the move is happening from their posts. I understand VC doesn't keep up to date with the latest goings on in the world of media and thinks that Umbro and Kappa are the newcomers of British fashion but he needs to plug himself into the world of viral marketing and how it is so very important these days

Don't see why not, Juve have shown year on year, since returning to the CL, that they're becoming more ambitious in the transfer market.

I'm they will sell Pogba now. But not because they have to to fund their recent transfers. I think they've just received an offer that is too good to turn down and the player is open to moving.

None of this indicates to me that Real Madrid will come in a low ball them. Juve hold all the cards here. Which is why it's taking so facking long as they're asking for such silly terms.

Unless the selling or buying club are coming out publicly which is rarely going to happen there are rarely substantiated 'facts' to any transfer rumours. Which is why so many choose to not trust any of it. Doesn't mean some of it isn't true. Seriously, this has been explained about 5,000 times on here already.

I know this has been explained to you about a million times and you continue to ignore it but SOME (a small minority) information that we see on certain tweets and media outlets do come from reputable sources.

.............

And none of them seem to be getting the Pogba issue right.

He is no nearer signing for us than a shed load of previous players were. You know the ones, Sneijder, Ozil, Pedro etc.

posted on 2/8/16

You don't know that. This is the whole point, none of us know anything for sure but we can make calculated guess work based on journalists that do know. And the guess work suggests we have made contact with Juve and Raiola, that very possibly Pogba is willing to move and that we are willing to pay the crazy fees needed to get him.

No, he's way closer than those. Not a single bookmaker will take a bet on him going to United
United players are talking about him coming, Pogba himself is doing adidas bits hinting that he's coming.

It's not signed yet obviously but it's far closer than the likes of ozil and Sneijder were

It wouldn't even be a case of being ambitious though, it would represent great football sense, getting Pjanic and higuain for the price of Pogba, also knowing that they'd never get such an offer again for such an overrated player, Pogba will be leaving, just won't be coming here

posted on 2/8/16

Did we even make any contact with Ozil and Sneijder? Not sure they can really be compared.

Think we were offered Sneijder and turned it down.

posted on 2/8/16

I'm sure you'd have said the same last season when they turned down £80m for him. They could still get a ridiculous fee like this in the future as he's likely to get better, especially with those players at the club.

Whether he comes here or not remains to be seen. We do seem to be the frontrunners for him based on all the available info.

But my argument is that Real will not be coming in and lowballing Juve at the last minute. That's the assumption you've made and I don't see anything to suggest that will be the case given all we know.

If I woke up tomorrow to see that he'd signed for Madrid I would be relieved. Not because I wouldn't like us to sign him.

Okay - if/when he signs for us you have to change your name to 'Robb told me Pogba would come and now I bow to his great wisdom' for a month.

I would have thought of something arrogant as your name but I thought I would be humble for once

If he goes to Real you can choose my name

Darren when I say lowball I don't mean £50-60m, I mean not as much as our supposed offer

You, more than anyone else knows that bookmakers get it wrong.

posted on 2/8/16

I know what you mean, and I still think you're wrong. Juve have been adamant over how much they want for him. Don't see that changing.

posted on 2/8/16

Why would Juve accept that? They don't need to sell and it seems they have asked for a specific fee which we are willing to pay.
