They wanted Big Sam originally.

Given that its a friendly, are there penalties lined up if it finished 0-0?

Can we at least have a penalty shootout at the end, for some drama for the fans, with Rooney being allowed to be subbed back on?

Could not be a less memorable occasion for Rooney to be honest

Should let his son have a run out.

LVG would have started the season with him as our 3rd choice striker

Should have extra time, 120 minutes for pre-season fitness

Teams with the best defences usually win international tournaments.

Apparently according to Forza it's teams who host int tournaments who usually win.

Penalty shoot out to see who gets to keep Rooney. Can't think of anyone that bad to take ours.

Have you guys seen any difference in your style of play yet or too early?

Hard to tell much from pre-season as everything is a little slower than you'd want.

Can definitely see a bit more freedom in attacking though, and a willingness to try and get the ball ahead of our wingers to break quicker rather than passing it back and forth between the defence & midfield.

Early stages yet.

Yep. Counter attacking. He made Madrid into a monster of a counter attacking team. From one end of the pitch the other in something crazy like 10 seconds. You might have to put up with soaking up pressure in some games though. The big ones.

Does this go to pennies?

I'm thinking £20 on Everton on penalties if it does.

Sack Jose? Or give him another week?

Hard to tell, there is definitely aspects of that though, its how we played under Fergie in games where we knew we couldn't match the opposition for possession, usually away at Arsenal for example.

We've not really been countering Everton though, had most of the possession.

No one left available, although Fergie was taking heavily with Big Sam earlier so maybe he's the next Chosen One.
