Blimey, this is early. You 5hit the bed or something. Bad holiday planning there Mr View.
Welcome back
Member of the Old Guard here - usual standard of debate, I'm afraid.
Are you in Greece ?
My Ang, you seem sharp today. The clues about sunny, 2 hours ahead and Malia might lead you to that conclusion.
Isn't Malia one of those Coca Cola resorts renowned for drunken British teens taking selfies and all shouting yeah.
Morning team Salmon season so busy today but will keep an eye on things..........
Morning Heb
'Bout time you got those salmon organised to do their thing a bit earlier in the year.
Doesn't Obama have a daughter called Malia ?

It's the new medication, Spart.
Yeah ?
Coming at you from the peaceful side of Ibiza this year, I'm always away first game of the season. Been a long time coming, what will this new era bring? Will check in later. See y'all soon, sun beds calling.
Morning chaps, will be out and about for the match so attendance will be sporadic, with you in spirit though

Was in darkest Wales last week, Betws y Coed. Beautiful salmon rivers. There is a waterfall, Swallow Falls, where the salmon try in vain to leap to the gentler streams above. The highest recorded leap of a salmon is apparently 12 feet and the falls must be five times that. I watched the poor sods hurling themselves into the air and falling back again time after time. Little do they know that the feat is way beyond what they could ever hope to achieve.
Reminded me of Forest for some reason.
Not a very successful roll call so far, View.
Wish I'd taken my week in Yarmouth a bit later on in the holiday season.

As salmon reputedly return to their spawnibg grounds some must have made it in the past. Only the fittest will make it so it is a good biological filter. It only reqires two to make it and you get a lot of salmon.
No, they don't make it Spart. Eventually they tire of trying and spawn a bit further downstream. A heron was waiting to pick off the exhausted ones. I think their instinct is to get as high as they possibly can before laying their eggs in the gravel. The greater their range the bigger the population I suppose. It's incredible though that they can detect which tributary of the river they were spawned in originally by the tiniest quantities of minerals or whatever it is in the water that distinguishes one stream from another.
Also, sometimes they artificially introduce salmon and sea-trout in the higher rivers for anglers and then the descendants will attempt to get back to their birthplace. Similarly they will fail and spawn downstream.
Which reminds me, is your water back on tap, Spart, or are you still on the bottled stuff ?
Can you tell you're back in S Yorkshire by the faecal content of it ?
View, make the most of it being out there, I was planning a day in malia today to watch the game. I'm now watching it at the Ipro coz it's better than Crete even Keigh knows that! although my lad still isn't well enough to go to the game.
Water is now OK thanks Ang but as I rarely drink the stuff unless flavoured with tea or hops then I am OK.
Salmon now use a sat nav to find their spawning grounds but the water affects the electronics so they end up in the wrong river. FACT.
Buzzing now, had my fry up and constantly clock watching, just to reiterate C-L-O-C-K watching!
We all know what you sailors are like Tommo.
Bet you can't wait 'til 6 bells this afternoon, tommo ?
Just as I was about to compliment Gouvas on its superior t'internet, it went down......
Hello all , lovely to read you all đ
Griff or anyone, can you still get to watch a game even if it is not a stated 'televised one'?
Failing that, any links?
Ask round the bars in malia. Some bars advertise different games. Most bars have more than 1 tv and they will show different games on each 1. Just ignore the Greek commentary
Don't care what Keogh told me, I'd still rather be in Crete view!
