Wouldn't read too much into the Liverpool game - they are two weeks ahead of Barca in terms of match fitness.
Still reckon we will beat them next week, but we do ddesperately need to sign a striker

Same reason we're in the CL i suppose
It's a friendly you moron, if Mane is some sort of godsend based on this match then you must think Messi, Suarez, etc are all garbage? Course not cos it doesn't suit your agenda.
It is JUST a friendly guys and even i aint going over board, and the point raised about being ahead in the fitness one is valid; however we played well and deserved the win.
Mane is better than Sterling from what i can see, and Klavan looks like an upgrade on Skrtel albeit very early days. With Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Origi you guys aint going to have it easy esp with your best defender missing.

You're just jealous coz Arsenal have never been invited into this prestigious event
Koscienly missing is huge as is giroud who tends to do well against pool
Tbh Leicester created quite a few chances against Barca as well. They seem to be all over the shop at the moment.
yet leic got beat 4-2 i think and we won 4-0....so i really dont see the comparison!!
Wenger speaks a load of BS claiming there's no one who improve us who is realistic
Liverpool gave Dortmund a spanking around this time last year and they ended up trophiless, mid table and sacking a manager, yet again. Anybody who takes any note of pre season results really doesn't know much about football
I am sorry but only a fool would judge players on pre-season. A lot of clubs are at very different levels of fitness.
But there is no doubt we need a striker and center back. Needed them last summer as well.

Serious question? You pick players who are at a high level of fitness, obviously. Which is why Ramsey, Alexis and Kos are all doubts to start vs Liverpool.
I dunno why I even comment on here anymore. As the years gone on, Arsenal fans seem to become more and more thick.

Thats the managers job. They see the players day in day out in training and know how fit they are, what they can do and will know who they want to play.

Liverpool finishing trophyless after a big pre season win has no real relevance to us, but liverpool denying us of 4 points last season has a lot of relevance. So hopefully your hypothesis of history repeating itself won't come true

I didn't realise we played dortmund last preseason season and spanked them. I think k you getting the seasons mixed up. But yes pre season means jack.
We usually play well against Klopp at the Emirates, but it's the first game, so anything can happen really. If they press like they did in the first half today, I reckon we'll struggle.
