At this rate i'd accept Mangala.

you can see how far arsenal have fallen whenthere are trying to buy utd reject players

Utd are buying their own reject players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i rather buy a player back which we released than buy rivals reject players...ahhh now i get the value wenger was on about
Viva_Ronaldo
What does it matter where the player comes from, as long as they improve/adds to, the squad?
Gabriel has been confirmed as out for 6-8 weeks.
Settle down, you'll get James Collins with a broken back on loan come deadline day

The fact that we "rejected" Evans and proceeded to play Blackett, McNair and Rojo at centre back in the last 2 seasons just emphasizes what a farce we've been in recent years.

Please please tell me you are joking. Evans better than Williams?!?! In what world? And at 12 million for a player at 31 who could play at the top level for another 4 years, that is a huge bargain. Never rated Evans and we already have enough sickness at the club.
--------------
Got to be honest and out of the 2 i would chose evans. 12 Mil for Williams who has what 1-2 year at the most left at the top or the same price for Evans who has 4+ years and has excellent experience playing for big clubs.
Can't belive i said the above, shows how faking desperate we are becoming.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Man...this season is gonna be sad. It's frustrating knowing the potential this team has with a few tweaks to the personnel and coaching. But we won't get either. Add to the fact our injury crisis is starting early, can't say I am looking forward to it.

OP is deluded. Don't you know that he is way overpriced. He is not super super quality and is only worth 8m tops....in Wenger's World.

Neither is Mustafi. He is crap

Regardless of cost, why would Arsenal want to sign Mangala, who has proven to be at best unsuited to the PL, and at worst a liability?

Tongue in cheek comments mostly. But there is also some desperate gooners on here. Also, wasn't it his first season? If so, he may be much better in his second.
It could be that Wenger doesn't rate Williams.
It is not as if any other top manager has tried to sign him up until now.
I know some on here have been wanting Williams for a fairly long time, but for me he isn't someone to get angry about missing.

Signed in 2014. Understand City are looking to off load him. Will probably take a massive hit (£42m odd transfer fee).

I think the anger is more to do with having to possibly rely on 2 inexperienced CBs 5 days before our first game of the season rather than the merits Williams may or may not possess.
