Why are a lot of pundits saying we will struggle with the extra pressure of Champions league football and therefore won't finish as high in the league this season?
======================
Because you bottled all the cups last season to come third and Spurs won't be able to throw the CL this season due to the cash involved.

Pretty much.
If anything we have improved our situation so should do better in the league.

Where do u think you'll finish? 1st or 2nd?

You can't really rest players in the cl, and the opposition you face is generally of a much higher quality (surprise). Especially for a pressing team like spurs. It's not a ridiculous assumption to make

We have dealt with the pressure of Europa for years. Constantly playing Thursday- Sunday in far flung places.
----------------------
You'll find out the CL os harder to juggle cos you can't rest players as you always do in Europa. You play pretty much every game full strength and full pelt. The whole Thursday/Sunday Europa thing has always been a bit of a myth. Europa teams often struggle because of poorer depth than CL calibre teams, not because playing Thursday/Sunday is any harder than playing Saturday/Tuesday or Sunday/Wednesday.
i will just throw out there that last time spurs were in the CL we topped our group and then knocked out AC Milan in the next round.
nothing to fear at all.
will we win it ? no?
will we beat a Bayern / real / juve / barca? almost certainly no.
but there are no other teams in it that we should be worried about.

the main reason for poor league form after Europa league is because generally speaking the CL teams are local western Europe sides, whereas the EL is littered with teams in the back of beyond.
and the travel messes things up with regard preparatiuon for the next game.
its also always Thursday sunday, sometimes with CL its Tuesday Saturday.
couple years ago we played in Astana in Kazakstan..
think that country borders Pakistan doesn't it?
facking ridiculous journey to make for a midweek "European" game.
Aye poor spurs having haul their a$$es all over far flung france, belgium and germany last year must've really taken it out of them.
Such a myth.
The other thing with the Europa is that CL teams sometimes play on a Tuesday rather than Wednesday and can sometimes play on the Sunday as well so there is more rest time.
Thursday/Sunday other than the rare MNF is constant.

But true
last season we had our best prem finish though... coinciding with easier than usual travel in euro away games...
so you are making my point for me you clown
"generally speaking the CL teams are local western Europe sides, whereas the EL is littered with teams in the back of beyond. "
Last season:
EL 11 eastern european teams in 12 groups.
CL 8 eastern european teasm in 8 groups
I like it when the media write us off. I see us very much like a Stealth Bomber flying under the radar ready to do some serious damage.

teams that spurs play then.
I take the point that we only have one CL campaign to compare it to.. but in that campaign we went to Italy twice, Germany, and Holland.
Of course there's the possibility we could struggle to maintain our league position. Whilst we don't have to always contend with the Thursday-Sunday schedule, we could be playing teams who are a lot better than the Europa league group stage dross. We could potentially end up with:
Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid
?
So even though in some instances we'll have more recovery time between a European game and a league game, we know we can't throw in the likes of Mason, Carroll, Onomah and N'Jie in a CL game.
Not really hard to fathom the pundits thinking really. Don't see why you'd be annoyed by it.
