If someone had told you about Kolarov playing centre half and doing ok you'd have assumed they were trippin. Sterling played well - unrecognisable from the player who finished last season.

Stones looked like hes been playing for us for years.
Also laughing at United fans if this was them under Fergie today they'd be saying "Sign of champions winning when your not playing well" biggest hypocrites in the world.
I thought Stones showed the composure and elegance of Vinny at times today.
That could be an awesome partnership later in the season.

I agree. it did seem strange and just seemed to crowd the space, worked ok against a team that packs its defence. Talking of which, anti-football season starts today doesn't it?
Definitely a work in progress but some really positive signs. Excellent debut from Stones. Nice to see Raheem effective on the right. I think we all knew Aleks isn't a full back, but centre back? Who knew?

Dull, boring, sleep inducing. All that money spent and they can barely muster more possession than Bournemouth.
Beating possibly the worst team in the League by a penalty and an own goal is nothing to get excited about.
So the Pep revolution is here and what a back to the future it was.
We all thought football had moved on in the past 50 years but Pep set the team out the same way my coach at school did.

Far too early to tell yet. The real test is the Premier League which is a long campaign. It should be an interesting season. To quite honest, I don't think much of Euro footie at any level, but obviously the powers that be at City have made it a priority to succeed in Europe.
