he would have been a good signing i think btg, but his attitude as you say would be a worry, and its another guy on decent wages with no return financially at the end.

Anyone hear the Rhodes to Celtic on loan rumour ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have now
Apparently Lescott has a dodgy knee that would preclude him playing every game, even if otherwise fit.Rangers weren't prepared to gamble, let's see how many games he plays in Greece.
Tbh I think the rangers dodged a bullet with him, the fact Villa where desperate to punt spoke volumes to me
Lescott in 2010 would have been a great signing. I still think he'd have handled it in Scotland no problem. But if you can't afford a mid 30s guy or he can't pass a medical or whatever you move on
Previously rangers would've just got him in eg capucho Emerson vanoli rothen and lived to regret.
Still need a defender but all I know for sure is it won't be Lescott

Aye...the M8
He passed the medical though his knee or knees are dodgy and in time will go
Increase on insurance cost so we reduced his offer
Another club not as skint might take the risk
His medical is personnel and private hence the fact fabrications
At least so I was told
But who really knows
Got it from a very very good source that there was no medical. He travelled up here and club had a change of heart.
Medical never even took place and Warburton didn't even tell Lescott face to face that the club were pulling the plug.
That info has come straight from the horse's mouth, nake of it what you will.
Just heard ragners lab report on Lescott

"Warburton didn't even tell Lescott face to face that the club were pulling the plug."

Picture of Warburton speaking with Lescott last week, face to face.
A very close frend of mine spoke directly with one of the clubs directors at the tail end of last week, who told him the decision was made on the back of the club being made aware of the state of Lescott's knees.
Every other story was fabricated, in order to maintain Lescott's privacy in that respect.
Last thing Villa would have wanted was the world knowing Lescott's knees were fcked, last thing Lescott wanted was every other club hearing that....the club turned their attentions to Senderos instead, as Warbuton was impressed by him in training.
I'll be very surprised if Senderos is not signed up.

Can only pass on what I heard and came from a close mate. But who knows.
Either way, we need a defender.
