"Fawaz's biggest problem is what he says on Twitter. "

Nope, it's that whole running of the club, paying bills, communication and a few other things

Very good post, Steve.

It is inevitable that whenever we discover someone who is good enough that they will be sold sooner rather than later. But I would have waited until January, given the start we have made and the small possibility of making the play-offs.

Some of the posters criticising the sale of Olly Burke would do well to cast their minds back to the Doughty/Arthur regime when we used to let our better players run their contracts down and then leave for nothing.

Darlow & Lascelles cost £0 sold £8 million
Antonio cost £2.5m sold £7m
Britt cost £5.5m
Burke cost £0 sold £13m

Profit = £20m and we still have Britt (who will probably be the next one to be sold).

We have also come out of the transfer embargo.

That tells me the club is being run well financially.

On the pitch at first team and academy levels we are also sound.

Administratively it is still seems to be a shambles.

All we need now is for Fawaz to find a way of working with PM and PP and trusting them to do their jobs; and also for him to find a CEO and hand over day-to-day running of the club to him. Probably too much to ask though.

Rat, you're right about Fawaz posting on twitter is a mistake. But not as big a mistake as people taking notice of what is on twitter. It's just drivel, except for the insightful stuff I post

There's drivel everywhere on line, there's just more people on there. I have criteria I filter on to improve the quality, individuals that like attendance related arguments / "banter" are something that's muted for starters

I also don't follow people who annoy me so if go to my standard feed, there is refuge from rubbish on there. Even Fawaz, Emad and co are not followed for that very reason
