Play a 442 and use Big Sam's strengths in how he sets his sides up
While I'm not really bothered about the England side I have to agree with Robb in that if you select Big Sam as manager you must allow him to play to his strengths. Maybe don't agree with all of Robb's selections but the point is made.
If England did play to their strengths then they'd get to quarters (at least) nearly every time IMO which, at the moment, is the level.
I think it might be worth trying out Lampard and Gerrard in midfield again

What about Scholes on the left?
I don't think your line up is far off Robb. Not sure if have Carroll over Kane or Wilshere in just yet though
I got the impression the reason why Sam's teams played direct football, was due to the players he had. Arguably, England have better players than Sam normally has at his disposal, so if Allardyce continues with his typical style of play, that to me proves he's a one trick pony and should never have been given the job.

Not only is a good ball merchant, but he's never fit. May as well say Hargreaves should be in the middle of fit.
The players were mainly the right ones, they were just set up stupidly.
Have you noticed how some of England's best sportsman were born outside of England: Farah, Froome, Wiggins, Murray.
Perhaps we should just find 11 English sportsman born outside of England and then we'll have a chance?

Sounds like a plan to me..
Cricket side we've had a large number of Saffers and had success.
Germany recruit all theirs from Turkey, Poland and Ausria after all.

Can't disagree with that.
Football moves on but England don't, which makes me a little bit sad.

Anyways will be funny to watch this mess

Murray? Having a laugh right?
No way should Wilshere, Barkley or Stones be starting atm.
Sam will make changes, I am confident of it, but it does no one any good for him to change the entire setup straight away, causing any player morale and chemistry from Roy's reign to dissipate.

Rooney has been shiite for ages, and Hart has some decent competition for his place now. Kane is worth sticking by, as he's young enough.
Have the feeling we will either over achieve with Sam, or fail horrifically.
Unfortunately I'm leaning towards the latter.

Hardly realistic to think England will play 442 under Allardyce. He's almost never played a flat 442 formation.
Are you both completely stupid? Serious question.
