I really dont know. What has this guy ever achieved? He was decent at Hearts, a decade ago, done nothing down England and Dundee United were a better side after he left. A few decent United performances against Celtic and Rangers covered the fact that he didnt ever finish higher than 5th(I think). They even went on to lift a trophy after he left.
He now has a worse record than Burley, but all we hear is "progress". Progress is 1 win from 5 games and that win being in the 97th minute against a bunch of farmers? Where's the progress? He should be sacked.
What is it with Celtic fans, even on Scotnad threads they are bringing up paranoid bigoted rubbish? Give it a rest ffs. It really is getting boring. No wonder so many posters have left these boards with the constants paranoid bigotry on here. More obsessed with rangers than anything.

hardly top credentials now is it!!
i have said it before and will say it again he is a 2nd rate scottish club manager at best and should be at dundee utd motherwell ect not our national manager
walter smith or gordon strachen should be offered job
or do what irish done and pay up for top foreign manager and not another berti vougts
the swiss have hitzveld why cant we get top manager like that

I have seen a lot of people calling for walter smith to be manager of scotland. But I think his tactics can be just as negative as CL.
Owen Coyle would do a great job I think, but why would he leave Bolton eh
Bill Leckie is the worst culprit when it comes to professing undying admiration for Levein.
Wonder what the connection is there.
He's been in Scotland. Burley was an outsider to the press who had no contact with him in England and 11 weeks at Hearts is not enough to build a rapport. Likewise Bertie Vogts.
Levein is all talk. His comments after the Lithuania game were shocking (a draw to them is never a good result for any team which aspires to qualify).
I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt in this campaign but we need to beat Wales and Macedonia home and away in the WC qualifying if we have any ambition to qualify.
He also needs to sort out the issue with Steven Fletcher before then.
BTW_Hitzfeld grew up in Switzerland hence why he's their manager
