Blow up a finding dory balloon rub it against your paw patrol jumper for 5 mins. Get a grown up to run the cold tap so it is a slow stream, then hold the balloon next to the water. You will see it magically bend.

It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.

A good comparison is the waltzers at a fair ground. The carts orbit a central point like we are told the Earth does with the sun. The carts also spin like the Earth does.

When you ride the waltzers the g-force forces you away from the centre. Therefore, if the Earth orbited and spun at the speeds we are told (which is much faster than any carnie can spin you), we would all surely be thrown off.

Its very, very basic physics.

Im still waiting for the answer as to why a flight from Cape Town to Sydney has to stop in Dubai.

Well it's impossible to get enough height to see the entirety off the plane.

Horizons are always flat, they NEVER curve.

If the earth is spherical and the circumference is 25k miles then the curvature is 8 inches per mile squared.

Antwerp Notre Damme Spire can be seen from 240km away with a telescope. It should've dipped beyond the horizon and around the curve so how is it visible? Naturally because it's not behind the curve it's just beyond the limit of our vision.

Refuelling and commercial reasons

Think it is also to do with flying conditions down there. Think all flights go North out of SA.

Cos we're at the most southern tip and can only go north

No, because you'd fall off the Earth

So South Africa is the lowest point of the earth, even though ships sail round it? Flat earth theory disproved

I dont think you'll fall off...probably just enter space

posted on 8/9/16

You can definitely go East, West and South from South Africa in a ship

Yeah...i mean look at the Dutch East India Trade route. From Japan they sailed west around SA instead of just going east
