The only ones who say it aint what it used to be are the modern glory hunting supporters that think the CL is the only competition worth bothering about.

Nah all the pundits that work for Sky have won it. Lots on the BBC as well. It's not just fans that say it. Players and managers have. And the attitude many managers have towards it would also suggest it's not treated with the same importance that it used to.
I disagree with that attitude, but Sandy's talking shiiiiiiit if he's saying it's just fans that believe this.

why would you pay attention to anything sandy has to say.
not only does the man know very little about football, but he is completely out of touch with the modern era, and is generally an absolute balloon.
Never hear anyone who gets to the final say that

I can tell you for a fact that the majority of our fans were saying that only a few months ago.
It just doesn't seem to hold the same prestige that it once did. I think in many ways that's down to the attitude of the clubs towards it, but it seems a genrally accepted view that the FA Cup isn't quite the big prize it used to be. I think the money in the game changing club's attitudes towards the cups has probably had an effect on this too. Not to say it's not a big trophy, it is.

Yeah like I said I don't like that attitude towards it either. But the clubs do have that attitude so it is what it is. Denying it is just ignorance of what has happened to the cup.

Spurs were a cup team..
Spurs are now less than a cup team...
I don't want Spurs to be a cup team - I want us to be MORE than a cup team...
In order for us to grow we need more revenue and better players. That revenue can be to sign more expensive and better players or to build an elite scouting network and sign all the best kids in world football.
Whilst 25 years of domination in the way that Man United, Barca and Juve have enjoyed since the early 90's is a very distant pipe dream for us, I would like us to take a step or two towards that and become a regular CL participant and then regular title contender. The FA cup and 5th doesn't aid that. Fact.

No I would rather wait and see how we get on......when we ultimately finish 7th and win nothing.
Are you having a laugh?
If the clubs are treating the FA Cup as less important as it used to be then as a consequence the cup gets devalued.

It's not, like I said denying it is just ignorance.
