I would love Jose to poke that treacherous rat Brian Kidd in the eye.

Nothing wrong with playing dirty. Within the rules of course.

I just want to enjoy watching United.

That means good football good trophies.

No other caveats for me.

Wonder how pep feels about playing in half empty stadiums, esp after managing Bayern and Barca, he might become disillusioned himself

Your popularity

Real people's club are Man U. Almost as much as my beloved Chels.

I echo Shinji's sentiment. Trophies are nice but watching good players, play good football is more important at this point. The last three years have been painful to watch.

Exactly what I was going to say,

I say we arrange a pre season game against city and kick the feck out of them. Make sure they're all out for 6 months minimum

You would need a ref as incompetent/corrupt as Mike Riley for it to work.

So pretty much any ref going. But especially Mike Dean.

To be honest, I'd be gutted if we ended up with a team of divers and cheaters. I have been turned right off El Clasico the last few years as it embarrassing watching the two teams trying to out-cheat each other. Not my idea of a good game of football.

"We would end up the victors but it would be at the cost of our souls and our popularity"

We lost our soul the moment we took on Jose and we've never been popular with rival fans.

I've always said I'd take winning titles whatever the cost. That would still be the case.

in fact, I think we should have got stuck into City more on the weekend, Bailly was the only player willing. Rooney gave Bravo a soft kick of Otamendi, Fernando, Fernandinho and even Silva were roughing us up.

Shame Clattenburg bottled it.

Rooney got stuck in plenty to be fair, he had a few hard challenges in the first half.

Yeah, Fellaini too. All were "fair" challenges though.

I felt we could have been smarter with some of your counter attacks, fouling earlier and breaking down the play, Otamendi and Fernandinho did this well. It's usually a signature of Jose's teams.

You make it sound like Utd have been saints over the years and have a clean reputation to tarnish.

This was being used a stick to beat Jose with (mainly by the media) for why he isn't a "Manchester United type manager", I heard people mention his fall-outs with Rijkaard, Pep/Tito, Wenger as an example, like SAF was tepid wallflower who didn't get personal or wind anyone up....ever.

Spend all the money we have, and you are talking about resorting to said tactics. If this happens, Jose should fark off with him.

One of the reasons I'm glad we got Jose is that people would really hate us -even more than ever, and he'd stop short of nothing to achieve his goals. We lost our souls the minute we signed the ink, and I couldn't be happier about it. The fear factor will return to OT, we still need time. F*@k being liked, people like Bournemouth, they don't like us.
