Who says Kane is out for two months? At the moment it seems the source for this is what some Arsenal journo posted in twitter.

Kane is our best player our key player and we bough inexperience not proven quality. Losing Kane is a possible season changer and that's not being dramatic.

There is no proof Anyone will score the goals we have never had to cope without Kane for the past two seasons really.

I have never been 50/50 on a player before in our system in pochs system you can tell if a player fits from his first game or from training it is so easy.

Janssen has brilliant movement but is way off the pace of the game which comes from inexperience he therefore becomes a passenger in games and uses his strength wrongly. Case and point the first thing he did against Monaco was crash into the defender giving away a foul. Then runs around doing very little.

The issue is if he doesn't get game time how he can adapt to the league? Then again we have paid top whack for him So people will be on his back if he doesn't score in his run of games.

We should of bought proven lacazette was available but we move on someone say a pray for Kane.

Lacazette would have cost £50m...and most likely sat on the bench. Looking forward to seeing more of Jannsen. Goal tomorrow would be huge for him.

So you spend 40 million plus on Lacazette when you play a system with one up front? No chance.

I know right. some spurs fans still haven't worked out how spurs operate yet. after all these years.

20mill for janssen is a lot of money for us to pay for a "backup" !

Could have gone for Jay Rodriguez. Wouldn't have cost much and I bet Southampton would have been willing to sell. PL experienced, 2 goals in 4 this season, can play up front or on the wing, and has worked with Poch before and he's previously wanted him.

Alas, what's done is done, and I hope Janssen can go on to get lots of goals, but it's a bit of a risk going for someone outside of the PL, especially coming from such a poor league as Eredivisie.

seriously???? !!!!!

jay rodriguez.

what exactly has he done in the last 2 years to suggest we should have bought him? he hasn't even proved he is fully over his incredibly serious injury!

would have been a ridiculous signing on anything other than a free !

You do understand that that is literally the case regardless of who we had on the bench, even if it was Messi, Ronaldo and Aquero....

kane only has 2 goals this season (tap ins), but we have scored 9 goals this season so far in all comps.

but there is no proof anyone else can score?

Not even 'can' Chronic, but 'will'. There is no proof that anyone will score the goals.

Of course there isn't. That's how the future works....

I'm confident we can cope without Kane. Against Monaco Jansenn did more in his cameo than Kane did all game.

agree. Kane missing isn't a big concern for me. I want him back in contention as soon as possible.

but its not like we don't have options !

Not really a ridiculous signing if we signed him quite cheap, and given how little he plays I reckon they'd have sold, and on the cheap. Despite limited playing time this season he still has 2 goals in 4 games, and has proven before under Poch he can score a few.

I'd rather have signed him than Sissoko.

Jay Rodriguez would have been a huge gamble. No chance they would have sold him on the cheap anyway

I doubt he'd have gone for any more than £10m, if that. Southampton are favouring Long and Austin up front at the moment.

I wouldn't say it's a huge gamble for what would mostly be a back up option.

Southampton were considering sending him on loan so he could play games and get fit. Doubt they would have just washed their hands with him and sold him cheaply

I was thinking that as well, that we could just have tried getting him on loan if not signing him.

So is Kane out for a couple of months?

This is Janssens chance I guess.
