From what I have seen of him he seems like a mix of Messi, Zidane, Maldini, Cafu and Walcott in their prime.

“His qualities … it’s only looks – his body and the way that he plays – remember a little bit from the beginning of Messi,” the manager said.

so he's a wee lad, skillful who can dribble....that's where the likeness ends

needless comment. the bad outweighs the good.

1. hes almost certainly nowhere near as good as messi was at that age

2. he now has bigger expectations on his young shoulders

3. if he wasn't on the radar of other clubs, those comments will at least alert people of the fact that we have what we think is a special player coming through, and someone could easily poach him if they wanted to.

He's been on the radar of all the big clubs for years. Had a massive offer to go to Man City hence why we offered him guaranteed game time which we never do anymore

How do we had guaranteed game time, is there proof anywhere?

Hopefully he plays tonight though!

Very talented young man. Has all the credentials to become a top player.

Confident, great ball skills, two footed although predominantly left footed. Not scared to run an take defenders on, which is something sadly lacking with us at present.

Poch should know about Messi, having played with him on many occasions.

just an unnecessary thing to say for me......will heap pressure on the lad for sure....just let the kid play football and find his own identity.

Really worried about Kane chaps. As a few people who have done their ligaments have said in the last few days, it never quite recovers the same. The clubs says as much in this article:

The swelling was still so severe that it was impossible to accurately scan the damage – which sounded worrying. “This is why you can’t give a time-frame [for his absence],” Pérez said, although the early estimate is one of around eight weeks.

It was put to Pérez that injured ligaments never truly healed and as the problem was to Kane’s favoured shooting foot, he was asked whether there were any long-term concerns over the striker. “Of course, it’s like an accident – never again is the car the same or never again do you know,” Perez said. “But there are no problems to recover from injuries. The ligament heals good or bad but it heals. The join adjusts from the previous injuries.”

Really doesn't sound good to me

Again, when?

Pochettino was finished with international football in 2002, and Messi only joined the set up (U20) in 2004.

And I'm the plank....

just shows what a ridiculous challenge it was, which I seem to be the only person noting. it was a needless and rather reckless lunge slide kind of thing from miles away... wtf was he doing?
