It always should have been Redknapp so he should get it.

Allardyce won't get sacked though

What a $hit state English management is in when your best options are the likes of McLaren, Woy, Sam (not as bad) and Bruce. These are really inspiring for English players.

Allardyce said just, and barely just, enough to get away with this in my view.

If this came out after the next world cup he'd be sacked but this early in it won't suit them to get rid.

Im surprised an english man has been caught doing this.surely the accusations are false

I think they should stop focusing on the next manager being English, none of the English managers have really done anything in recent years. Mclaren was a joke, Hogson should have walked 2 years ago and was in the job far too long!
Sven to be fair wasn't bad, his decisions in 2006 however was criminal. Capello again was alright and was unfairly dismissed months before Euro 2012 started.

Err... exactly. Especially after reading some of the examples above. We're talking Southgate, Redknapp, Bruce or Pardew...

Would be happier to try and land Hiddink, Klinsman and Blanc or even Pellegrini personally.

International management is different to club management. They can pick any player who qualifies (and want to play), have them for a week or two and then sends them back to their club for the day to day stuff. Success as a club manager does not necessarily mean they will be successful as an international manager and vice versa.

We need a manager who can bring the players together, get them to gel quickly and get the tactics right for the players he (or she!!!) picks. For that reason I think one of the options should be Stuart Pearce. He did well in that scenario with the youth team and a lot of them are the senior players now.The fact he was crap as a club manager is to a degree irrelevant.

Capello wasn't dismissed, he threw his toys out the pram and walked. Sounds petty but I just cannot forgive that showing in South Africa, especially after that bumper new contract he signed. Shame on the FA for giving that to him before anything had actually been accomplished though

And what happens if even Wayne Rooney can't tell Wayne Rooney where to play?

Total anarchy, that's what happens. Total anarchy and the complete breakdown of society.

Gerrard as assistant?

Why after finally landing the “Dream Job" would you put it at risk?

=======================

Because he's an idiot. I'm sure there are other reasons (i.e. make as much money as possible from his new appointment) but the bottom line is he's a good football manager but not too bright.

That said, I'm not sure he's done that much wrong other than put himself in an embarrassing position. The ownership thing he seemed (from what I've read) to suggest it's fine as long as the EPL team buy the player outright and the money being made, whilst slightly distasteful having been in the job 30 seconds, he admitted he'd need approval from the FA.

Think he'll ride out the storm and live to give Rooney a completely free role another day.

Gerrard probably has better credentials. Failed more often as captain. Was a worse player too. We all know that the better players don't necessarily make good managers. We should give Gerrard a go. Think he already has his badges as well. Rooney doesn't.
