Did it sound like Powell will walk?

Powell in charge for Reading
DET reports that up to 8 managers implicated in Sam ALLARDYCE scandal
Sounds like there's an alternative story emerging. Players and Pearson working together, team motivation not an issue. Is it just Powell sticking up for his friend?
Work to be done 666 but if we can get back to par up until Jan. then look for a couple of central MF's that can:
Read a game
Pass
Tackle/Win the ball.
Command their zone.
Play the simple ball.
Act as an engine
We might be able to build on the weaknesses of the last 2 seasons, adopt a more resilient lineup for the more physical games and build a team instead of piling jigsaw pieces on top of different jigsaw pieces.
dedicating a win to / crediting a manager who has just been pushed out isn't really going to sit well in the boardroom....
I sort of hope it is part of the Allardyce thing and not MM interfering again
That would be the best outcome tommo for our longer term stability.
Enjoy the night though everyone ... we've deserved this
...so who DOES own Bamba's image rights?
That could be the best outcome from all of this, we probably won't sign Bamba
Powell to bring a little stability?
Shame about Idiakez tho, not really done anything of note while he's been here, was hoping some of his skills would rub off on others as our set-pieces have been lacking for a while.
I guess our final real memory of him will have to be that penalty miss for Southampton that sent us into the Play-off final all those years back. If not only for him being one of the few players you really wouldn't expect to fail from a set piece.
It always felt like his heart was still in Derby when I was sat there watching it, definitely one of our last real heroes.
So when we win the league next year we can say that Pearson laid the foundations.
I'm sure NC will still get the credit
Wellies is right, money has turned this game into a free for all in the know.
It's disgusting the greed coming out from all this, I have no sympathy for Sam at all, 3 million a year to manage a few games and he slobbers like a kid over 400k.
And the rest, ffs an assistant manager going to be exposed for 5k.
It might also be that Mel has saved himself a few bob.
But football is in the gutter world wide.
And the bottom line is greed a few high end whiskey's cost Sam his job.
100% record
That he won't work again.
The game is in a state, no question...but what a bloody weird day, eh?
Back tired and happy. Nice solid away win.
Everyone's gone to bed Vidal
Well I'm up again now. A very professional performance under the circumstances. The longer the game went on the better we were. Johnson made a big difference, not that he did anything spectacular but his presence meant that Hughes and Butters could get much further up the pitch where they became influential by getting close to the attacking players.
I thought Ince was easily our worst player until he scored and then he came to life. It was as if new life had been breathed into him. Vydra was ineffective throughout and doesn't look as though he likes playing on his own up front though.
Lowe was a revelation. Confident throughout, even doing some tricks on the ball, making tackles and getting forward well. He was man of the match by a mile.
Cardiff are utterly crap, mind.
