Its easy to forget that Cech had his ups and downs like any footballer. For years we were joking about him and penalties, would be better to have a cardboard cut out.
Courtois was looking really good and rated higher than Cech. Everyone believed that all the pundits. Courtois said I belong to you but I have to be number 1. The club did what we all at the time thought was right.
So things change, and moaning over spilt brandy is not at all constructive. Plus i say Coutois is young and can only get better. Age was a big factor in the decision. What makes you say he can't improve, what do you know that we don't? Sorry mate but that was uncalled for and you can't support it.

I have never ever seen any footballer ever do that. Didn't Drogba just move to the US and Turkey before that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it never happens.
Here are a few:
Jimmy Robertson : Spurs to Arsenal (1968)
Steve Walford : Spurs to Arsenal (1977)
Willie Young : Spurs to Arsenal (1977)
Nick Barmby : Everton To Liverpool (2000)
William Gallas : Chelsea to Arsenal (2006)
Lassana Diarra : Chelsea to Arsenal (2007)
Dennis Law : United to City (1973)
Carlos Tevez: United to City (2009)
Peter Beardsley : Liverpool to Everton (1991)
Now shut your whining l dude.
It happens all the time and YOU are the only child on these boards that has a problem with it.
You don't hear United fans calling Dennis Law a traitor do you?

I put "i don't believe.........." And i don't have to back it up. I don't think the guy is happy at Chelsea, and i don't think he'll get re-discover his best form until he considers himself to be where he wants to be, that is my belief and i don't have to back that up.
The same way people don't have to back up their religious faiths
Menghis, I don't know who most of those dudes are, but Diarra, Gallas and Tevez were never legends. Can you imagine Steven Gerrard joining Everton or Man Utd? It would never happen.

what? the same cech who had 6 pens in a european cup final and dived the right way for all 6 and saved 3?
He was no cudicini mind
Don't some Arsenal fans want Cech dropped for Ospina? If Cech made some of the mistakes for us he did for Arsenal the same people whinging for Cech would be having similar KDB like meltdowns as to why we let Courtois go.
He's a club legend, but his last few years are largely sugarcoated as better than what they were, the last time i felt he had a truly world class season was 10/11.

Does anyone think John Terry would move to Arsenal if whatever reason he left Chelsea just for the family reason?

As much as this member is a total troll who i can't believe is still here (much lesser WUMS have been banned), he's right here.
"Don't some Arsenal fans want Cech dropped for Ospina?"
Probably, but then I expect some want Henry resigned up front and Tony Adams saved from his poor management career to be backup to Kos.

my O.P gives more than just family reasons. That is conveniently being overlooked.
But the family reasons imo should be more than enough.
I also feel Terry's loyalty was at one point 'up for sale' .
Flash this is 2016, he could have played anywhere in western Europe, kept base in London and still spent most of the week at home.
Id never boo him or call him a traitor, but I still can't understand why so many fans are relaxed about legends rocking up at rivals.

probably because on the whole he's been pretty average to poor for arsenal. Bar the odd decent save he's made a fair few clangers for Arsenal since going to them.
Nick he could have unleashed his inner Turnbull and still wouldn't be happy that he went there.

The main thing is like Drogba, he didn't, no matter how much truth is in that sentence.
Overall although people that say they are relaxed about what Lampard and Cech did, how many are subconsciously? Our famous four of Cech, JT, Lamps and Drogba, back in 2013 if fans were asked who's their favroite, out of the people that would have said Cech or Lampard back then, how many do you reckon changed to JT or Didier without even thinking? Bet there's a lot.
Even Essien and Carvalho stayed clear of a return to the PL and they aren't even in the bonafide legends category Cech is.
