Ot has he served his ban? Not sure.

Rose suffers from the same issue on his inside channel actually but I don't see Sterling moving into the same areas.

I also think City will play very narrow, because Spurs do, and unless Son and Lamela can pull out some worldy I can't see much space for the Spurs lads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually agree with you, hopefully Lamela can play like he did last season against City where he was arguably MOTM home and away to City.

I'm happy with our full backs certainly, they are in good form.

I don't think either are brilliant but they are consistent 7, 8/10 players which is all you need in that area really.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I still think we need cover for the left back. I think that they are going to take their time with Gomez which is understandable but gutting as he looked to be a top young player for us before his injury

Dude you have called them cry babies yet you have got yourself wound up, created a whole new article and whinged about their article and how your fullbacks are the best in the league
===================================
Got himself wound up ?
He simply wrote an article corrected a wrongly held belief that far from being the worst fullbacks in the league, Liverpool had the best in terms of their effectiveness in playing the press.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He put the effort in to create a new article, whinge about the Arsenal fans and proceed to tell us all why everyone should listen to him.

Wound up and a cry baby
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not wound up at all. I am extremely happy that we have the best full backs in the league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't agree, I think you are using your rose tinted glasses to come to that conclusion. I do agree though that your full backs are very good and work well in your system.

Milner takes set-pieces doesn't he? That would distort his stats a bit going forward, along with the 3 penalties he's scored. Hardly think that makes him in anyway the best LB, or even the best attacking LB.

As for the Walker/Clyne argument, I've been a foremost critic of Walker for years, but over the last year, he's been immense. There is no world class level RB in the PL, but Walker is probably the best of the lot.

Clyne is technically a better a full back then Walker. If it was based on sprinting in a straight line then Walker would win.
Clyne has better footballing intelligence than Walker. Much better at passing and crossing while Walker is more his and hope.
Before you mention England. The only reason why dinosaurs like Woy and Fat Sam pick Walker was more down to his height as Clyne is a bit small and have two small full back i.e Clyne and Rose creates a problem that isn't there.
--------------------------

Clyne is not small. Walker gets ahead of him for England cos he's the superior all-round player. It takes a special kind of arrogance to sit behind a keyboard calling highly experienced managers "dinosaurs" because they don't share your blinkered view.

Didn't consider him an all round better player all the way through qualifying for some reason.

Also I have to disagree. I think Clyne is the all round better player, although neither are gifted passers, but Walker is more powerful and a better ball carrier even if he does this with his head down.

I have always the feeling with Walker he is one pass away in making a mistake. He is weak on his inside channel as well. Woy and Fat Sam are dinosaurs of managers and are only fit to manage a Tesco company team.

Yeah for being so weak on his inside channel he is still apart of the best defence in the league, same as last season.

When you have an Arsenal fan saying Walker is the best in the league you really should take notice and take those rose tinted specs off

Walker is a quality full back, Clyne is better, he created more chances than any other fullback at the euros despite hardly playing.

Perhaps walker is seen as more solid by some, but I think attack is equally important to defence in the modern fullback and Clyne is the better all rounder

However I'm a liverpool fan so bias is to be expected!

Walker currently has 2 assists and is part of the best defence in the league.

We could be here all day, Spurs fans saying Walker and Liverpool fans saying Clyne

======================

Yes he is but lets not pretend that this makes him infallible. Lamela works incredibly hard in front of him and then you have one, often two, screening in front of the back four which allows the likes of Alderweireld to compensate on that inside channel. Saw that a bit against CSKA with Traore actually.

Penalties are not the creating stats

Have a look at the stats above. It proves what I know. Clyne probably has a slightly better final ball than Walker, but Walker's beastly athleticism quite simply puts him above Clyne in a lot of parameters both offensively and defensively. Their passing stats are just about level despite those of you trying to make out Walker as a sloppy donkey. For sure, barring Walker's injury problems, I'd have him ahead of Clyne.

Corners and free kicks are.

Very small snap shot of the season, especially when you consider the teams that have been played, but it's nice to see that Milner sh!ts all over Rose.

Except we all know that's not true.

"He is weak on his inside channel as well. "

People say this about most fullbacks.
If you have a great dribbler on the wing, he can mince most fullbacks once he isolates them regardless of who the fullback is. Which is why almost anyone talks about defending as a team.

Walker is ok actually. Developed a lot since Poch went there but the system helps a lot as well.

Clyne is a better footballer than head down sprinter Walker.

----------------------------------

Nah......he doesn't. As you would expect, Milner's passing is a lot more efficient and he's created more chances, but Rose comfortably excels him in the more defensive areas - even considering he's played 2 matches less. Rose also scored the only non-penalty goal between the 2.
