What's with the European decimal system?

This is England dammit

It's admirable to an extent, but when you're tickets are the most expensive in the league and you're bringing in as much money as you are, I think the fans are entitled to feel as though they should see more going into improving the team rather than lining the pockets of those not involved in the day to day footballing side

Everyone knows Wenger is the biggest success story in British football, its just they are bored and want something new.The younger arsenal fan base are the biggest culprits.

You take our current form and put Klopp as head coach of Arsenal or Rodgers and we would be favourites.

anyway doesnt bother me that much, when he leaves at the end of the season you will see how big Wenger is.

The FA are desperate to hire him.If they dont make him the manager they will give him a football development role

I really don't like commas used like that.

What is weird, is there are many fans out there (and on here) who simply don't know anything but Wenger's Arsenal.

I think when Wenger finally leaves Arsenal it will be like Ferguson leaving Man Utd with the club struggling to achieve what the fans had taken for granted under the previous manager.

We certainly need someone who has worked with Wenger either as manager or more likely to be behind the scenes.

He wil sign another 3 year contract though I'm sure.

It's OK, there are rumours that he will be offered a new 2yr extension with a huge pay increase to ward off any interest from the FA for the England job.

So he'll be at the Emirates for at least another 2 years.

Specialist in consistency. Now if they finish 2nd in CL group again that would be incredible.

Nothing weird about the fact that he got the job when I was 10.

On the other hand, I do find it a bit strange when I see 35-36 year olds talking about the 88/89 title challenge. You know who you are.

Bouldie knows the club backwards and forwards.

How much harm could he really do if we gave him a couple of years?

3. £72,1m average net spend per year from 2013 to 2016 - which coincides with 2 FA Cups, and finishing 4th, 3rd and 2nd in the league over the last 3 years.
---
So doing things he probably should've done in the years prior deserve massive praise? You can't really tell me we didn't have good enough teams to win at least one or two FA cups from 2006-2013. And finishing top 4 with a top 4 wage bill? WOW massive achievement.
You can split Wenger's reign into 3 parts: 1996-2006 - amazing, 2006-2013 - ok, but far from amazing, 2013-present - average. Should we continue with average though?

Leicester City walking the league last season has taken away Arsene Wenger excuse. The fact is Arsene has squads good enough to do a Leicester City but bottled it majority of the time but have good enough spells to scrape top 4.

I keep hearing people using Leicester City as the main argument to throw against Arsene.
But no one uses this against Mourinho, Van Gaal, Pellegrini, Koeman etc.....in fact Mourinho got rewarded with the Man Utd job in a year where he almost relegated Chelsea (or was rather going to relegate Chelsea) whilst Leicester City where marching towards the title!
As mentioned before, the board are not idiots. Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Man Utd......all have tried, spent and failed to maintain top 4. Yes, Wenger is not perfect, but what is the alternative? Spending millions like Man Utd and ending up with 1 FA Cup in 4yrs?

IMO looking at net spend has its positives and negatives. On the one hand it's true that Wenger has done well with limited spend where other managers have failed, but that fails to take into account that Wenger (and this is to his own credit as a talent scout/developer) has had some extraordinary players at his disposal, which he should have done better with. I'm not talking domestic domination, but at the very least he should have won the odd trophy between 2006-14, but his teams often bottled it against weaker opposition and that has nothing to do with money.
