As I am now changing my nationality to Irish ( I have an Irish Grandfather ) so that I can remain an EU Citizen to help my company that will mean the company will have to register me as a foreign worker !

Not at all, you cannot compare 'positive discrimination' i.e. minorities getting priorities of jobs; to genuine actual segragation and slavery.

To assume so is belittling of the struggles that existed/still exist to this day and his a strong form of oppression.

I agree with the principle of it. If you think it does not have any merits, I worry about your view of this world.

It has been established that there is institutionalised racism. Some of it is not even deliberate but the product of systems long gone

The only way to fix it is to apply the principles of affirmative action

It was not that long ago that black people were not allowed homes. It still happens in London today.

You are quite right. Turkey does have warring factions in the East of the country, just North of Iraq.

The child who was found drowned on the beach was in the West of the country.

The distance from the west coast holiday destinations where this tragedy happened is at least 1,000km from any fighting in Turkey. FFS Turkey is 1,600km East to West that is the distance from Birmingham to Rome.

The fighting such as it is, in Turkey is twice as far away from where this tragedy happened than Birmingham is from Paris.

But yeah, Turkey is a war torn country. FFS get a sense of perspective.

There was NO fighting where the boy drowned, his father risked his family's lives by fleeing a safe country to get to rich Europe and anybody who thinks differently is just deluding themselves.

Mudd, I am clearly talking about your posts in general. How many dozens of times have you been front and centre in any discussion that condemns the West, England, English people, white people, people who hold different political ideals than you, etc etc etc etc etc?

I have no issue with the "West" or the "peoples of the west"

I have issues with the policies of our govts which is what I have stated on this thread.

On this very thread I have advocated for reducing university fees for Brits, improving housing, encouraging kids into jobs, etc

But all you see is I hate Britain.


Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism. A lot of our countrymen died for us to have the freedom to point out evil happening on our shores.

Re-reading I think my original comment had the wrong tone, I agree with everything you've said especially the "get over it" line, it just can't be that simple.

And yeah reperations are a tricky thing, but liek you say if money was pushed into local communities it would do so much good.

nice debate mate. Its nice to debate with someone with an open mind, so many are brainwashed these days.

It's easy for everyone to misunderstand and judge each other without actually understanding the root causes. A lot of the media and the news is purely to distract, indoctrinate and divide us - this helps no-body but the elites. I just suggest if you (or anybody else) is interested, do your research and really have a think about the deep lying causes and issues.

Is there fighting in the west of Turkey?

Yes or No? NO there is not.

Is Turkey poor? Yes it is and to be fair, a large part of that is down to successive governments siphoning of public money for themselves.

As for my assertion that the man was trying to get to rich Europe from a relatively safe haven in western Turkey is still correct, no matter how much you dislike the fact.
