Playing better as a team though. And he's noticeably more involved with our front three, getting into more goalscoring positions himself.
If only the bug eyed caaaaant was reliable in front of goal. Could be on 5 or 6 goals already, without him playing near his best.
Rosicky was like this. Hardly any goals or assists but when he played the team was so much better.
Probably the only one of our front 3 who doesn't seem to be up to speed yet.
Hopefully, he will pick up soon.
Don't know why you don't buy Andy Carroll. He would get plenty of goals at Arsenal, and Ozil would get plenty of assists. Match made in heaven.
Hmmmm, ozil got a lot of assists from corners and free kicks last season. Giroud must have scored a few of those?
I also remember on in particular Ozil made a 5 yard pass and Giroud smashed it in the corner.
Bit hard to put it all on Giroud. Ozil hasn't been great so far this season in a team without Giroud.
Imagine a player this who could run in behind, Ozil woudl have a field day;

Or movement to get into goal scoring positions like this;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ih_-V59eQA
Maybe a striker who could even link up play with Ozil to score wonderful goals.
Something like this;

Actually only 7 appearances this season and I believe he has scored two goals with one MOTM.
Sell him!
An on form Sanchez wins us more games then an on form Ozil does. Sanchez hardly ever performs with Giroud. His best performances have come with Welbeck or Walcott in the team
I would still have Cazorla at his age over Ozil
Most of Ozil assists last season were corners or free kicks.
Good player but pure luxury
Sanchez is our best player by a country mile.
Didn't most of those assists come in the first half of the season when Giroud was injured?
Actually only 7 appearances this season
======
2 CL and 6 PL appearances. He only missed the first game of the PL season and the EFL Cup game.

Pretty much the opposite.
Giroud didn't start Newcastle, Stoke, Chelsea, Man Utd and Watford near the start of the season.
Ozil assisted 5 and Giroud scored 3 in those games
Giroud then started every game until the United game.
Ozil got 11 assists in that time.
Then he got an assist v United, and not another one until the final game of the season - with Giroud back. Giroud was benched for the majority of that dry spell.

The whole Giroud hampering Ozil thing was always nonsense. Just a way to distract from Ozil's poorer days by making Giroud a scapegoat. Ozil certainly has the weirdest set of fanboys among Arsenal players.
He hasn't had a good start. Been caught too much on the ball, not creating enough, and squandering a couple of great openings. I still believe Giroud (or at least Welbeck) is needed in this team.

Good player on his day. But he has a purple patch midway through the season but just fades away towards the end. Always has a slow start.
Certainly divides opinion amongst Arsenal fans. The only decent game I've seen him have this season was against Watford.
The quality is there, he just needs better quality around him. Iwobi is still young and needs time, Walcott for me is too inconsistent and Wenger never starts his "prized" £35m Xhaka who plays on the ball well. He's too busy playing Coquelin and Elneny who aren't really needed in a lot of games.
Sanchez also looks better from wide
