A woman is guilty because she enjoys $ex?
=======
Aye? That isn't the issue here.
A guy who's wrongly accused is acquitted. I'm happy that if a man is accused he's been given justice.
If a rapist is jailed I'm happy he's jailed.
Idiots on this board just don't get it.

There are people in other threads using that reasoning to confirm their belief of his innocence. I didn't make it up.
So suck off some liberals
I'd point out the problems with a society that behaves as if someone is guilty until proven innocent but this is guilty even when proven innocent.

You'll find many instances when an individual is proven guilty despite their innocence. Hence appeals. But proof of innocence in court doesn't mean the accused didn't commit the act. OJ Simpson is a famous example of this.
That's true. But for our society to be a society instead of a loosely organised mob, we must respect our justice system.
I don't know any of the details of this case, I just hate the pitchfork crowd.

I'm not here to promote vigilante justice, but people brushing Evans' actions aside because of the accuser's sexual encounters is facking disgraceful. Same cants show up to defend Johnson, Cosby, and others who use their status to do as they want, highlighting the truth in what Trump said about fame and sexual assault
Feel sorry for the girl as she's obviously gone through a tough time, but I don't see how they convicted Evans without further evidence.
I don't want to speculate as to how it happened but based on the actual case against him (i.e. her non recollection) I think the media/facebook warrior frenzy played a part in the outcome.

Reticence is not the same as defending rappists.
What were his actions exactly?
OP, its more about a woman who gets so drunk that she cant remember anything. How can sha say she was raped and say she cant remember anything? I thought it was innocent until proven guilty and I dont understand how someone could be proven guilty if the only other witness/participant does remember a thing.
Well there is the legal principle of Res Ipsa Loquitur. Would have been dead simple, from a legal perspective, if he had got her pregnant.

--------------------------
The woman involved did not claim to have been raped, she claimed to have woken up in a strange place, etc!
The simple fact that the prosecutions whole case relied upon the notion that if she had drunk so much and couldn't remember getting to the hotel. Yet of the 3 people who were in the room 2 said she consented and she said she couldn't remember.
CCTV footage of her leaving the kebab house showed she was quite compusmentus and able to walk in heels carrying a hand bag and a pizza with one of the men to a taxi. CCTV footage from the hotel showed her walking from the taxi towards the hotel and then returning to the taxi upon remembering her handbag, remembering wasn't a problem at that point and she was only going to sober up from that point on.
Yes Evans told lies to gain entrance to the hotel room but it was a hotel room he'd paid for and was legally entitled to do so. It's from this point that both men claim the woman consented to 5èx with both men and Evans claiming that the woman actually asked him to perform an oral 5èx act on her.
Posts from the woman's facebook about her "getting paid and taking her friends on holiday" further point to her not being traumatised by the incident and her test the next day pointed to her not being excessively drunk or any sign of a date rape drug, only cocaine was found. I've said before that if this involved 2 bricklayers and a barmaid the case would have been dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Evans might be a lot of things, a creep for cheating on his girlfriend, a sicko for performing oral 5èx on a woman where his mates just dropped his load and an arrogant self entitled not good enough rich footballer but it wasn't rape.
Rape is a horrific crime and anyone who puts someone through it should be punished accordingly but a woman accusing a man of rape is equally horrific and a lot more needs to be done to make sure that the accused is actually guilty.
Add in the fact that a woman accuses a man of rape and on her word alone that man is vilified, arrested and outed as a rapist straight way whilst the alleged victim is protected and they're identity kept secret.

I'll only correct that the CCTV footage showed her needing help to walk at somepoint because of imbalance, which usually, not always the case though, indicates impairment of some kind. I'm leaving work, so I'll address the other comments later.

Urban legends.
When I was younger there was one about a woman who put a rope up her backside that was yanked out to enhance the experience if you know what I mean and she crasps everywhere.
Then more recently there has been one the woman who would have one bloke and then want the second to "clean her out" orally before having a go himself as it really gets her going.
The point is they are supposed to be disgusting to normal people but it appears the urban legend has allegedly been tried out in this case. They should all be ashamed of themselves for such behaviour.
"Not guilty" is not the same as "She made it up". The case came down to definitions of consent, and whether the woman involved was too drunk to give that consent.
It raises some important issues which will no doubt get lost in the media frenzy. We all know that "no means no", but are there times when "yes" can also mean no? Can consent be withdrawn after the event?
Will this lead to men being told never to sleep with drunk girls? (If so, some people may never lose their virginity)
So it only matters that she had been drinking and not the 3 of them?
