His hold up play was okay today but his running of the hall was atrocious. Amount of times his run closed up play and in the end mess up the play was a joke.
Looks like the Dutch Heskey.
Useful footballer but isn't going to threaten the top scorers charts.
The thing is he's actually got a great shot on him but looks like the pressure is getting to him a bit imo
Strong lad with decent hold up play but wants far too much time on the ball to get his shot's off. Doesn't seem very quick either. However his success may be in Europe and cup games to get him up to speed.
Jandado Soldanssen. that could be a player
Don, I haven`t seen a minute from today`s game, so do not know how he played, but Spurs brought him to score goals, and he is patently not doing that at the moment. He is only young so we have to give him time. But the way things are going, looks like this could be another Soldado.
Its still early days for him, he was impressive today with his link up play etc, and created the chance which Alli missed one on one.
He is not really getting many clear chances to score, and has been limited to speculative long range efforts. I think he just needs a goal or two to settle down. He`ll probably shin one in and be on his way.
When was the last time we bought a striker who hit the ground running? JD? Crouch?
He's leaving me wondering how bad the Dutch league must be to have got as many goals as he did in it.
That said, still relatively early days and he can turn things around with one good game. I think realistically we were always going to have to wait to see the best of him. Maybe until next season, if it is due to come at all.
What makes it doubly unfortunate is that Chadli can't stop scoring.
Spurtle, not worried about losing Chadli mate. I never really rated him much anyway and whilst he's started very well at brom, he's where he should be at a small club who won't go any higher than midtable. To be fair he looks like messi in that brom team if it weren't for foster, we would of won that comfortably today
I predicted Chadli would score against us today.
I just knew it
Chadli was bone idle at Spurs, no way would he have held a first team place down, best he moved on.
Well he certainly "moved on" ..... cost us two points today
Janssen fits us but he needs a shed load of development.
He will never be scoring 20 goals a season but he offers us something different sadly we only have two forwards so at the time we need him to score he cant do it.
It is not fair on Janssen to be lumbered with pressure he is an absoloute rookie in the game having one full season behind him, he was always gonna struggle to adapt. He will be a good player in time.
As sad as it sounds if Janssens head drops he will not make it with us. We have to find a way to take the pressure off. He started off well again today and as the game went on his head dropped and he becomes erratic with his decision making cos he tries to hard a classic error in young players.
Its so annoying when you got a lacazette avaliable sheer proven quality for what 10 mill more than Janssen it does disgust me we try to be too cute with our signings.
Well you can blame Levy for that!
But.... don't write Janssen off just yet.
He played very well for Holland recently, scored a stunning goal and hit the post on another attempt.
I'm looking for him to "show up".
May take a little time ..... just like son.
Don, Chadli is decent as a squad player and has shown with a run of games he could potentially earn a 1st team place. Which is why we had to let him go I suppose because it was not guaranteed.
He would have done no worse than either Janssen or Sissoko playing in their positions. I can see why Poch wanted to keep him. He already has the benefit of being settled into the league unlike Janssen.

Yeah. He could end up a Kuyt type. A useful player who puts in the graft without providing the goals he got in the Dutch league, but still chipping in with a few. Trouble is we have a few of those already.
Ideally I was hoping for a second striker who may even compete with Kane for his place.
Currently Chadli would be better having than both Janssen or Sissoko but in the long run I'm not so sure

In the long run as in beyond this season, or beyond these first few months of this season?
I think he'll have a better season than either at WBA as well as with us had he stayed, and with us looking like we're going for top 4 again and possibly competing for the title, I'd sooner swap them around on that basis than on the possibility they may be better longterm options past this season.

It's all relative though as IF we kept Chadli he probably would've started on the left V stoke than Son. Then maybe Son wouldn't be our top scorer and current on form player.
Like I said right this minute he's clearly on better form than Janssen or Sissoko but longer term he may not.
End of the day he wanted more game time and we couldn't offer him it.
Personally I think he'll hit 12>15 goals for WBA as he's the main man
Yes Janssen isnt scoring goals and obviously thats what he is paid to do but the way he leads the line is superb at times.
Not the tallest striker but he bullied a very physical West Brom defence at times and his lay offs in and around the box should have resulted in a few goals recently.
I thought he had a good game today, and helped us against a side that for long periods had no intention of coming out of their half.
Janssen is a very good footballer and is still learning about the PL, as usual certain supporters are looking to write him off because he hasn't started scoring for us.
Give the lad a break, he was possibly our best player in the first 60 minutes, his hold up play and lay offs were deserving of better finishing from some of our players today.
Write him off Such a silly comment GG
