''Just reading that Mick has the 2nd best defence in the entire EFL. Perhaps he and Berra can come and sort ours out so we don't give the opposing side a goal start every match''.
Wonder who posted this.....can't even escape the sad lonely tawt on other forums
It's a good point about not gifting a goal to the opposition every game though. We do seem to make things difficult for ourselves!

Lord Lucan ?
Harry Redknapp dropped his missus off shopping, drove off but didn't realise his good lady's coat was trapped in the door and dragged her along the road.
Ankle injury for the lady.

How was the coat?

slightly scuffed it seems.
It's an interesting point about how important a good defence is to a side, and maybe it's not all that important at all!
I'm looking at Wigan, who have conceded just 15 - and are second from bottom, and Norwich, who have conceded more - 18, and they're second from top!
We've conceded 16 - so not too shabby. Brighton and Ipswich have concede the fewest in the division - both with 9 against.
The most conceded is by Rotherham, who are rock bottom, so goals against clearly play a part there.
I suppose the old adage of simply scoring more that the opposition is what it's all about!

Why do you lot always resort to bringing Mick into it ?
Football is simple. We complicate it in order to appear intelligent. Managers and coaches do so in order to justify their huge wages.
"Oi Rooney! Stop lumbering around like a petulant brat and smash that ball into that net thingy."
I'd take £20k a year to do that job and save United £10m a year in the process.
UNC Knows.
Mourinho Doesn't Know.
I'm still reading my Clough biography. He got married, then had to rush off from the reception to catch the bus to play a home game for Middlesborough.
It's a better life for footballers these days - certainly.

The most interesting stat that I can come up with is that we are 16th in the league. We have 16 points. We have scored 16 goals. We have conceded 16 goals
