I think we were quite fortunate in the sense that liverpools attackers all seemed to have an off day.

Yeah tbf I'm not gonna celebrate a point like it's a 4-0 win. I'm dissapointed with the result.
Pretty embarrassing article. Celebrating a nil nil
Fair enough if United won the game playing with style but they parked a very expensive bus.
Liverpool were far more negative considering they were the home team. Showed no attacking intent and were scared to come at us. As comfortable as we've been at a Anfield for a while. We just didn't do enough to punish.
Who's celebrating?
I'm just putting up some quotes, sometimes it's quite an eye opener to see what all the experts have to say

What a bizarre article. If you had come to Anfield and turned us over, I could understand it, but you came to Anfield and played like a team who were facing relegation would play. If you're happy with that, cool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More of a dig at some of your fans arrogance before the game I think.
The whole anti football tag that's been thrown at united isn't really relevant or fair at this point of the season, like if united play like this way and get good points on the road, and follow them up with good home perfomances like say Leicester, and this get's top 4 then performances liek last night are worth it.
Should they not do the job at home and end up outside the top 4 then maybe you can throw that line at them, but right now I don't see how theny can be criticised.
Liverpool had 2 shots at goal with 65℅ possession. And one of them was a long range effort.
You need to look at yourselves. That's not good enough.

Surely you understand that our tactics contributed significantly to this? There was simply no space in the pockets in front of the defence for them to play their usual game. It wasn't simply the case that their front 4 all coincidentally had an off day.

Game plan certainly helped but countinho and mane looked off the pace regardless.
This is brilliant!
Somehow you are all revelling in the fact that you came and got a draw against Liverpool. With 35% of the ball, the lowest amount you've had since opta started recording stats.
Not one shot on target against a defense and goalkeeper that hasn't been able to keep a clean sheet all season against sides like Hull, Burnley and a very poor Leicester.
It really says something when a teams goal keeper gets the highest rating of the 11 and made 2 great saves. Yes you defended well but with 2 banks of 4 and at times 6 & 3, what do you expect.
You can come on here pulling up all the comments from GB saying we'd win 3-0 and celebrate the fact that you got a 0-0 but deep down you know you aren't good enough. If that had been Moyse or LVG you'd be in meltdown, FACT!
Oh how the mighty have fallen!

I think that Young, Blind, Herrera and Fellaini should take a lot of credit for that. They didn't give them any space or time on the ball to grow into the game. Reducing a shot happy Coutinho to one (very decent) effort on goal is good going regardless of how well he is playing.

Liverpool had the ball and did pretty much nothing except a few shots that worked up DDG a little. SAF always believed in building from the back and Mourinho is doing the same. We were missing Martial and Miki , who could've helped us be more lethal in the counter. Overall i felt the point is more valuable to us than them , especially with the string of horrid games ahead of us and defeat would've killed us.

a good point well made.
great how certain fans are ignoring the fact that united had 40 shots on goal in their previous 2 PL games, or that jose has played this season with pogba and fellaini in CM with 3 attackers and a striker ahead of them, but because some smart @rse posts a screenshot of last night with 6 men behind the ball somehow jose has killed off football (again).
It wasn't great, and if jose plays that way 38 times a season we can all throw the toys from the pram, but the sad fact is that right now united aren't great, and if they have to grind their way to top 4 rather than blast their way there so be it.
Kolo you didn't need to take the bait on this mate. We all know the Bobby is on the wind up!

I've not taken anything, it's an honest opinion.
That was a typical Jose set up at Anfield, it's just the fact that usually he's had better players to hit us on the break.
I had it as a 1-1 on the prediction thread and wasn't to disappointed with a point as these aren't the games that will trouble us getting top 4, it's the WBA, Burnleys, Boro's that we have to start winning.
It's just hilarious watching fans of a club that is used to winning everywhere and everything, playing good football going to what I witnessed last night and thinking it's good enough.

exactly, last night's performance is only relevant if it's replicated across the season and the eventual points tally gained.
I'd take a performance liek that and a point at OT as long as we tried to play the way we can in other games.
If Jose tried to play an open game and we won 3-0 then he'd be under huge pressure this morning, this way fans are happy to take the point and move on.
