Thought Moreno actually had a good game, he was rash with thar tackle and he was way up the pitch when Spurs had a very late chance but other than that he was good.
He's not half as bad as people make out.
Also Karius' distribution alone puts him ahead of Mig for me now, I was unsure before the united game but while he's made a few errors with his distribution overall it's been good and get's us on the front foot much quicker than Mig.

Moreno summed up in one picture!
Yes he was way up the pitch at that point but Klopp tells our full backs to push up high, Moreno should know in the last few mins to be more defensive but I don't think he deserves all the grief he gets from our fans.
Perhaps the picture is harsh on him but I worry more about what he does in our box. He was very lucky not to concede that pen. This kind of decision making is what makes fans get on his back.
That's in the 86th minute ffs!
We're 2-1 and looking to see out the game and he's doing his lets go for a walkabout routine.
It says a lot about a player when he can get a game because a right footed cm is better than him in his LB role.
Everyone is saying Milner has been the best lb in the league this season so I don't think that means much. Probably says more about Milner as a cm.
Mig and Moreno both lead to poor goals conceded IMO.
Mig's kicking is horrid, and Moreno is a glory boy.
Other than that I am very happy with our squad options.
I also think that we need to persevere with Karius, but I was pleased with how Mignolet played last night. Having some competition for the number one spot is a good thing and should show which of these two has the minerals to play for the first team. Mignolet has had his chance and for the most part looked panicky and was a liability,
Milner has cemented his position at LB. Moreno has his good points attacking wise, but defensively is a liability. I want to see him moved on and a replacement brought in.
Lucas showed that at CB he has a place in the squad. Doesn't cut the mustard as a DM, unless used in the last 10 minutes to see out a game.
Stewart looks decent, but I'm unsure he has the quality to cement a place in the squad long term. To be fair to him he does a job, with no frills, which is what most DM's need to do.
Klaven is decent back up, but his distribution last night wasn't great.
Grujic has talent but agree with Kash about where he is best suited to play. Need to see more of him. Same goes for Ejaria.
Pretty sure Moreno will be off in January or the summer, probably back to Spain. It seems pretty clear that Klopp doesn't rate him at all, and the only reason he's still here is that Klopp couldn't find a good enough replacement.
Ejaria is quality hope yo see him back at Arsenal one day
I thought Mig did very well last night, and Moreno had a good game until the last 10 mins or so, where he let himself down. Stewart, when he's come on as a sub before he's looked very solid, but I thought he was a bit poor last night. His touch wasn't good enough early on which was disappointing. At 23 I don't see him ever being in the first team really.
I think some people need to get over their moreno hate. Fact of the matter is he's the long term left back for this football club. Miller is 31? And can't do what he's doing forever. If klopp wasn't having any of moreno he'd be facing the balotelli/sakho treatment.
Klopp clearly intends to coach him and have him as our left back for the foreseeable. The lack of a left back signing in the summer spoke volumes.

Or maybe it was a case of not being able to find an available left back he wanted?
You state a lot in your post as fact. Do you have access to knowledge that the rest of us don't? How do you know he's the long term left back? You may have a point if he was a Klopp signing, but he wasn't. He played the first league game and was immediately dropped. That doesn't tell me he's highly thought of or rated.
You reckon he's having some kind of coaching, but he still made his customary penalty giving challenge in the box. He was just fortunate the ref was awful and had already given one.
I don't hate Moreno, I just don't think he's anywhere near good enough for us. Maybe you need to get over the fact some people don't agree with you
Yeah I don't see Moreno as the long term left back at all.
Klopp couldn't get who he wanted so has made do with converting Milner to avoid having to play Moreno. He's coached him for a year now and Moreno isn't getting any better. He still goes walkabout and it's nothing to do with our attacking tactics.
To be fair to Moreno, and I really don't like him, he was clearly being told to get forward by Klopp and he did so. When your full backs go forward you need midfielders to temporarily step in and cover. Really poor that none of our midfielders were covering. We were bombing on in search of the third and really should have been caught out for overcommitting.
I don't hate Moreno. The fact is that he has had a lot of first team football, yet hasn't improved.
As soon as Milner started pretty season at LB I was confident he would start and keep Alberto on the bench., which has happened. Many disagreed but Milner's performances have demonstrated that this was an excellent move by the manager.
As far as I'm concerned those unable to come to terms with can't handle being wrong about this particular issue.
I think Moreno is a goner. January or the Summer seeks very likey.
I don't think we will let him go in January personally but summer looks likely.
To be fair to you Paisley you were absolutely spot on about Milner and I agree I don't think Moreno will be at the club next season.
I still like him though!

Yep. I don't see it as a good move in Jan but hopefully some of the (very rare) lb's that could improve us might be available in the summer and the position itself will be more of a priority I would have thought as this summer just gone seemed more about the spine.
Agree with most of the article, although I thought Moreno played well. Can't really blame him for the penalty appeal as he was pulled back by the shoulder of course he legs were gonna go from under him and there was a possibility they'd catch Lamela.
I haven't been a fan of Stewart but he played very well last night.
Wijnaldum over Can for me.
I thought Klavan was a bit dodgy.
Milner has been outstanding for us at left back. He could probably play that role this season and next. Maybe Klopp will look for a young LB like he was pursuing Chilwell last summer.
I can't see Milner getting back into midfield now.
Moreno was giving us good attacking width last night, far more than Ejaria did - didn't see what he was doing actually.
However Moreno does have these brain fart moments, 2-3 every game.
He still hasn't cut them out.
and definitely Wij ahead of Can. He is a more complete player.
