Wasn't just west ham fans last night though was it?

But it always seems to be them in the thick of it this season.

When Spurs go to the Olympic stadium it will be the same.

Then more needs to be done, reduce the capacity!

Introduce bigger segregation areas between the 2 sets of fans!

Bring more police in at a charge to Westham!

The segregation in the concourses needs improvement from what they said on the radio.

Cops can't have a proper presence due to issues with communication inside the ground, they should never have been allowed move into the ground if this is the case.

Club have been disgraceful here, putting money ahead of basic fan safety.

Cant owners anyway glad it's not working out for them. If it keeps happeneing they should be docked points / kicked out of a cup depending what comp the trouble happens in.

Feel bad for genuine West Ham fans who just want to go to the game, but it's every week now you hear something and inside the ground, outside is another matter but inside, that's the clubs responsibility and they don't seem to be doing anything to tackle the issue.

don't worry the spurs boys will sort em out in a couple weeks when they come to the lane

If they can't control their fans inside or outside the ground, then make them play behind closed doors

You get the impression they rushed into the decision to move without really thinking about the logistics and doing a thorough risk assesment.

Like I said in another thread look at the difference between the way McFc worked with the common wealth organisers to have a proper plan for the stadium afterwards to the absolute mess West Ham and the government did with the Olympic stadium.

Kick them out of the stadium so they have nowhere to play and if they can't finance a new stadium of their own, tough!!

They probably wouldn't be able to get a radio signal up there.

Now West Ham fans are homaphobic as well as violent.

What a horrible bunch they are.

What do they need radios for? They just shoot s.

Not sure how they'd get up there with so much ammunition though.

Is it really violence and west ham, or is it more the continued reemergence of violence in english football in general?

From the outside looking in there seems to be a large feeling of disenfranchisement in the country i general that looks to be spilling over into football violence again.

It's never really gone away though. Sure it's a lot less than the 70s/80s, but it's never actually gone away.

This is why, I think, people blame the stadium - it's not set up like other stadiums to avoid these things getting to such a point. There's plenty of strife between certain club's fans up and down the country every week - they can't help it, they're animals.

Is this really the legacy the government and Olympic committee wanted violence against children women, homaphobic chanting.

probably true, but it seems more prevalent in the last year or so. Pitch invasions, the trouble in france, now fighting within stadiums. Its worrying.

Well, if it's on the increase the police are arresting fewer of them....

There's a difference between football related arrests and hooliganism.

anyone who has watched the footage from last night would likely suggest that 7 arrests was a little lower than you would expect for crowd trouble like that.

posted on 27/10/16

Well, obviously. But assuming the police are effective to a similar level over time, it's hardly unreasonable to assume that they would follow near identical trends.
