I'll tell you a story about how Spurs thought they were going to win the Premier League.
Once upon a time, Spurs fans told the country that their club was the best in the land, they said they had the best players and the best young manager in the league, oh and of course played the best football.
Even though they were the best, Spurs were trailing a tiny little club called Leicester City all season and couldn't really get anywhere close. Sure they had chances to go top of the league but they bottled every chance. Though in fairness they were top for 13 minutes before they conceded a late equaliser against Arsenal, who only had 10 men. Ouch.
With only a few games remaining they beat Stoke 4-0 away and Harry Kane, rather embarrassingly in hindsight, posted a tweet suggesting that a pack of lions were hot on Leicester's tail. The fans, using their big voices now, assured Leicester fans by singing "we're coming for you, we're coming for you, Leicester City, we're coming for you". The Leicester fans replied by singing "we're waiting for you, we're waiting for you, Tottenham Hotspur, we're waiting for you". It was all very tense but then disaster struck.
A draw at home against WBA, another game where they bottled it and lost a 1-0 lead, left Leicester with a chance to win the league away at Manchester United. The game ended level but it meant Spurs had to beat Chelsea at the Bridge. Spurs being the best team in the land cruised to a 2-0 half time lead, they just had to hold on for 45 mins, could they do it?
Noooo oh nooooo they couldn't and their season all fell apart. It was painful to watch but watch we did. Chelsea pulled one back shortly after half time and with just 8 minutes left, yes just 8 little minutes for the best team, with the best young players and the best manager in the country, to hold on to their slender advantage but they bottled it again.
They completely lost their heads and it was all over when Eden Hazard struck the ball from the edge of the box into the top corner and broke the hearts of the nation. Actually it broke the hearts of one small section of North London but filled the hearts of the nation, and the world, with joy.
Little old Leicester had done it against all the odds and now every Leicester fan will laugh at Spurs for the rest of their lives and will live happily ever after. The end.

I see Leicester have just kept it to a manageable eight points behind Spurs. Awful agricultural team only heading one way back to the Championship.
