Southh Africa are massively overrated, Steyn, AB and Amla are world class, but really the batting looks very weak without AB. They just did relatively well in the weakest era of test cricket I've ever witnessed. Certainly got spanked today.

Well they hammered Aussies 5-0 in the ODI series and not many teams do that so they can't be all that bad.

Agree, Australia will lose now. The middle order is still awful. Given the performances put on by our bowlers in recent series it's very disappointing how poor the batsmen have been. Unless Warner goes really big Australia never seem to make a decent total. Rod marsh must go now.

SA were without AVB and few others, Aussies still has a very strong batting lineup, to lose 5-0 though is just criminal at this level, plenty of people loved it

A good day for SA. At COP they are 390-6, a lead of 388.

With Steyn out of the attack they'll need to build on that lead - should aim for about 500 to be safe.

They already have enough. It's extremely herd to bat when you've only got three batsmen.

You're the one who was saying how overrated SA are, then I reminded you of the fact they beat you 5-0 and you claimed you had a weaker team out, now they are on the verge of going 1-0 up against you so I'm intrigued to know what your excuse is this time around. You seem to be dealing with this potential defeat very badly though.

Saying SA are overrated does not necessarily mean that I think Australia are particularly good.

While I do care more about test cricket I have enough perspective to not be bothered in the slightest, it is a bunch of grown men playing a game after all.
