Australia are like the rest. They have 2 decent batsmen in Warner and Smith the rest aren't that great..Mitchell Marsh batting at 6 averages in the low 20s.and the keeper is just the same.
England have 3 batsmen.. In Cook/Root and Bairstow..
SA have Amla and Devillers. and so on.. Of course the other batmen in teams chip in now and then.Like Duminy.. But he is likely to fail more than not.
The standard of test batting as really gone down the drain in recent years. Am all for low scoring games and results.Just nice to see good batting now and then.
Well deserved victory for SA. Even after losing Steyn they fought well and deserved to win that test.
Excellent win for SA such a same Steyn got that freak injury. hope this doesnt mean the end for him as a test bowler as these injuries have been racking up in the past 12 months.
It was great to see Steyn, Philander and Rabada play in the few test they played together (NZ Test and 1 Day vs Aus).
On pitches like these..Its moving late of the seam..Very difficult to get forward you knick it.. and play back chance of being LBW..
I wonder if Australia will get past the 60 they got at Nottingham last year?!
Absolutely demolished Australia
Aussies can't play the swinging and turning ball
SA playing some great cricket. I wonder what Duncan's excuse will be this time round. After being demolished 5-0 in SA, it looks like we could be in for another whitewash.
Australia bowled out for 85
Australia have been well and truly shafted here!
lost in 3 and half days and to an innings defeat.. That's 5 tests losses in a row for the aussies..
Their middle to lower order is the worst in world cricket by the looks of it..
3 and a half? It's not even been 2 and half. Basically just about 2 days
Voges used to have a Bradman average but now is batting like a tailender. .
As someone said, he scored loads of runs against weak oppositions on friendly pitches. Put him up against a half decent bowling line up and his age starts showing.
I think that's true with most Aussie batsmen. They prepare roads when India come and score double and triple 100s. They know India doesn't have an attack that will do well on roads.
Even the mighty aussies struggle with confidence. Not easy when your losing all the time!
Aus had sent all their batters in the shield game. And they are going to select players based on how they perform. All of their key players have failed. Not a single batsman has shone apart from khwaja.😂😂😂. You don't want to be an Aussie selector at this point in time.
This might be the first time Australia get whitewashed in their own conditions.
Dont think i ever remember a first day declaration in a test match before.
Wtf ???!!
Might come across as a bit cocky but actually pretty clever from du Plessis. Warner had been off the field so he would not have been allowed to open. Young debutant opening with Khawaja who doesn't normally open.
12 overs under lights against two new openers? I'd have taken that to be honest.
