Creative midfielder for me Hengs.
We are a strong well drilled side but we just lack that creative spark, a player who has the magic to win games on his own a Hazard/ Mahrez / Coutinho type.
Alli may be that player one day but he is still very raw and Eriksen and Lamela just aren't quite good enough.

Don't think Alli will ever be a creative midfielder. As he gets older I think he'll drop back in CM.
Eriksen proved last season he has it in him to be our creative player, was only behind ozil in chances created and he's just in abit of bad form ( although IMO no where near as bad as being made out )
I agree someone like an Isco would fit great. Creative and hard working

Can't decide between a deep-lying playmaker or a tricky attacking mid.
A DLP would give us more variety in our play from deeper. I like the way Dembele drives from midfield but my ultimate preference there is someone who can pass short, medium and long from there.
A tricky attacking mid would give us more creativity and spark going forward. We look so functional in attack at times, pains me to see the lack of flair and invention. The last time I saw us do something eye catching was Eriksen's assist for Alli at stoke in April
Would probably go for the latter on reflection. A DLP can wait until the summer
I want ready made pacey attacking players that are established and will great straight into the first team squad.
No gambles on young unproven players.

An honest question from me is whether Alli is all that he is cracked up to be. Whenever I've seen him play for Spurs of England he has flattered to deceive. Is it our over excited press building up another young player or is he genuinely good enough to live up to all the hype? Early days but he doesn't stand out as any better than the likes of Barkley so far. Just my opinion. I'm in no way saying he's rubbish btw

Alli is a fantastic talent but like most young players is inconsistent.
He has supreme confidence in his ability which is great but he tends to over cook it at times especially with his show boating.
Ive got no doubt he will be a great player for Spurs and England though
Like others have said, we need someone creative who can really make the difference, as when Eriksen has an off day (most weeks this season!) we look pretty flat and workmanlike.
Son / Lamela should do this, but aren't consistent enough.
Ali also comes close but also isn't quite there.
We do need someone, our goals have been so sparse recently!

As for Alli he's definitely been below par which IMO is expected for a 19 year old kid. This will happen a few times where his form will fluctuate until he's around 22/23 where by then you'll hope he'll be hitting some consistent form.
I've personally known Dele since he was 12 years old and watched him develop since and his supreme confidence will see him through this bad patch he's having also this injury will help give him a little break too which I feel he needs

You used to have loads of players who I used to detest Teddy, Anderton, Gazza, Sherwood, Keane. Not so many any more unfortunately. Not too fond of Walker but that's more his vacant 'innit blud' vibe that he's got going on. I put Jesse Lindegard from Utd in the same category
I would like that Belgian lad at West Brom and the Algerian midfielder at Schalke.
