Yes ,as Nick says Flash, 2 years is more than enough in my opinion, never could work out 4 or 5 years !, maybe agents have something to do with it !.
Pardew could start a fight in a locked room with just him in there.i would wait till the end of this season and give Wenger a try. But that's just me😂
Pardew?
His teams always seem to go on these awful winless runs for ages at a time. At England level the winless run would never end.
2 years is one campaign, is that really enough?
Unless we can get Eddie Jones to do a dual management job, then just stick with Southgate.

They'd try to take the same seat on the bench and it would all fall apart, then Scholes would have to come in to sort it out.

I honestly couldn't believe that long ball merchant Aidy Boothroyd was the U21 manager but then again we did pick Fat Sam for the national team.
Give him the chance. There is no one else, He knows the U21s coming through and knows the setup. Who knows, international management might click for Southgate and he might turn into a decent manager. He has done ok so far.
Mancini would be far better, even Southgate sounds like he doesn't think he can do the job

Very good
The very top managers who you feel could make a genuine difference aren't available. After that it's pretty much a lottery, isn't it? Maybe Southgate will do better than some other guy with a better CV? I mean what are the chances he'd do worse than Hodgson or Capello at a tournament?
Is international football really suited to top manager though?
Many of the very best managers are on the training ground day in day out working on everything. YOu just won't get that with international football.
Wouldn't have been my choice before these games but....
I though we played some nice stuff last night at times and thought we had a plan. Players being played in their positions and got a decent result.
The FA have tried everything else so promoting the u21 manager is what's left.
