Chelsea v LFC 1948 we lost 3-1 and I think Paisley Moran played and I remember it was fracking cold, that was before the cover's was built.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow - I thought I was going to impress people with my first game back in 1972 - but 1948!
Anyway, my first game was the 1972 league cup final between Chelsea and Stoke. Peter Bonetti in goal one end and Gordon Banks the other. Sadly (at least for me) Chelsea lost 2-1, although I did get to see Peter Osgood score for Chelsea.
The first United goal I saw was by Gordon Strachan in January 1987 when I was nine years old.
United beat Arsenal that day (their first defeat in about 20 games) and Terry Gibson (yes him!) scored the second, and his only goal for United, in the last minute to make it 2-0. The late David Rocastle was sent off that day as well.
Too long ago for me, but I'd take a stab at Rushie sometime in 1983.
Spurs 1 - 0 QPR, Sheringham in the third minute. Had front row seats (which being my first game...thought that was amazing!). December 1995. The best day ever
Mark Hughes against Sheffield Wednesday sat in the Stretford end above the terracing. they scored almost straight away though to level it.
Got a feeling it was Scott Minto in a 2-0 home win for Chelsea V Leicester

Can't remember, unless you count a disallowed goal by Tommy Langley V Stoke in 1974.

Didier Drogba against Arsenal (how fitting).
2005 Community Shield
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Funny that- mine was again Drogba vs Arsenal but 7 days later in the league in the bridge. Played them twice in a week and Drogs scored 3 in the 2 games!
Cantona, Irwin, McLair and Parker. We trounced Spurs.
Mine was the Spurs V Everton match on October 11th 1958.
Alfie Stokes scored the first goal & Bobby Smith scored 4 in a 10-4 mauling of Everton.
What was special about this game apart from it being the first time I saw Spurs play, it was also my first visit to WHL, and it was also Billy Nicholson's first game as manager for Spurs.
3 pretty good firsts in my book!
Ste Gerrard from the spot vs Birmingham in '03. Same game as Emily Heskey's overhead kick.

The very first football match I ever saw was in August 2001 and it was the Bayern Munich v Liverpool Super Cup. The first scorer that day was Riise and Liverpool won 3-2...
I had just moved to Texas to go to school there as a freshman in university. I had a roommate from Southampton and there were other Brits in the housing unit I was in. They found it on a channel and bam I was sold.

Cool
Think the OP was asking about live in the stadium though.
Wicksy and Butch for Chelsea v Palace 76; we lost though.

I think that was my last time at Anfield!
Plastic
Can't recall - something tells me it was Ian Rush
Mine was by John Hollins against Leeds at the Bridge in 1970. It was a bad introduction to the Mighty Blues as we lost 5-2 at home.
My other lasting recollection of that day was that we had orange goal nets. It's funny the things you remember as a young lad!!
Gary Lineker in a 2-0 home win against QPR in 1991, he got both goals.
William Gallas in 2007, followed five minutes later by Rosicky.
I think it was Stewart Robson when we (Gooners) lost against Watford in 82-83 season

Tommy Langley is my 2nd cousin btw
For me it was Arsenal vs Liverpool in 1992, and Robbie Fowler scored the winner in the 89th minute, I was so annoyed I stamped my gooner scarf flat
