Wow Spurs

What's the reason for those high prices?

I'm not really sure - perhaps its the price of estate in North London. Does not explain Chelsea though. I thought they might have been the most expensive - but pale by comparison to Arsenal or Spurs.

Our season ticket includes 7 cup games, as well as the 19 PL games. This never seems to be mentioned in the BBC's survey. It may be that other clubs do similar things, but clearly you're not comparing like with like.

That said, I'm not defending Arsenal's prices, they are too high, however, while the demand is still there they can get away with charging that much.

Everything is ludicrously expensive in London compared with the north: travel, fuel, supermarket shopping, bars and restaurants, leisure activities, accommodation

At one point a few years back I was earning around £30,000 in Leeds and was offered £34,000 to transfer to London. I laughed at my boss. After tax, it wouldn't have covered the difference in accommodation alone.

The funny thing about where Spurs play is that the area is an absolute tip. Literally one of the worst places in the South of England so its crazy to think the London real estate premium should apply to them.

If anything people should be paid a bonus for living there.

It wouldn't have even covered your extra transport costs.

London is a hell hole.

There are teams in the Conference with more expensive season tickets than some Premier League teams

It's crazy, just checked and even in league 2 there are clubs with the lowest cost ticket being £22. That could add up to a serious amount of money for a family.

London is a great place if you have the money. A salary of £30000 min is a must and knowedge of where and not where to live helps too.

So many things to do and plenty of sport and gigs as well as cultural pursuits. Plenty of free stuff.to do as well.

All away tickets (more than 50miles) should be free...

For example, from London to Manchester or Liverpool it cost over £60.00 to travel by train... It will actually help the business in and around the stadium from the tourists.

Fair enough. I guess it's just not my cup of tea in general, no amount of money would change that.

And that's for what? 200 miles or so of travel by train? It's inexcusable that. The railways in Britain are an absolute joke now.

Maybe clubs should charge accordingly to how
they have performed

Just to rub it in OP, my season tickets at chelsea are fantastic, great view and only £750.

Mind you didn't help last year watching absolute dross

But on the whole we have been better than spurs for 20 plus years. Don't know how they can justify their ticket prices.

P.S what doesn't seem to be included is corporate prices where I believe chelsea have one of the highest, people paying thousands and thousands.

That's the way the clubs should go for me. Companies will pay anything at all for corporate boxes.

Why not ramp the boxes up to say £50,000 per game each and drop prices in every seat in the ground by a tenner?

Paid £202 for mine at my lads seasons tickets for this year. If we didn't go again this season it would work out that it's cost £25.25 for the pair of us each game.

About time some of these greedy PL clubs started giving back to the fans. £2013? Over £100 a match? Fack right off. I could watch my team for a decade for that

I have a soft spot for Hudds Town.

Good club, nice stadium, decent fans, and hate Leeds

The dearest at Arsenal are surely more than 2k? The dearest at United are like £3200 I think.

The price of football in England is out of control really, but we push the ticket prices by continuing to pay, you can't really blame clubs for running their business according to market demands can you?

Good one Nick, how are you going to all these home games from America?

London is great fun.

you mug.

Arsenals season ticket is at least 26 games so some of the extra expense is justified

Still a lot of money though

posted on 17/11/16

Not really crouch. Like your being forced to go to the crappy early cup games tbh.

By the time you get to quarter final(especially as arsenal are always drawn at home ) of a competition you will have to pay.

posted on 17/11/16

You're not forced into it in the same way Utd fans were (maybe still are, I don't know)

Can always put them up for ticket exchange and recoup some value
