Morning lads. A mere 57 degrees here this morning, but warming up to near 80 this afternoon.

two american friends of ours having emigrated to nerja and lived there for 10 years then emigrated again to berlin because they missed not having proper seasons
Good luck to them Wolfgang. Each to their own, I guess. Me, I love the warm weather all year round with the odd cold spell now and a gain. Stay in shorts all the time mate.
I froze my nuts off once in Berlin. Coldest I've ever been.

Germany doesn't get proper seasons and the UK certainly doesn't get seasons, though nor does Florida.
Seasons are overrated anyway but somehow I have lived in the most seasonal climates since moving to the bloody States despite three moves

Can't agree with you there Cinci, the UK certainly does get seasons. Each year starts with a perishing and damp winter followed by a crappy, wet spring, a dismal, depressing summer and a lousy wet and windy autumn.
Afternoon chaps, how terribly British to be talking about the weather.
Just a fleeting visit here today probably, but is there a guess the team thread up for this one? Can't find it if there is.
No, no guess the team thread but don't let that stop you Oldgold. I've had a shot at it, though it's probably nothing like.

Four seasons of shat that's for sure.
The weather more than any other reason is why I couldn't move back to the UK to be honest, I can't even describe that feeling of knowing you have great weather coming for x amount of months each year, it changes your whole life.
You will know this of course.
Hope Price come back in today, he will complement your more technically gifted guys the best like Saiss, Tex and co.
You're on mate:
Lonergan
Doherty
Stearman
Batth
Borthwick-Jackson
Saiss
Coady
Costa
Wallace
Dicko
Mason
Flatt
Silvio
Iorfa
Price
Bodvarrson fotb
Texeira
Cavaleiro
Lambo's gonna get us back to basics, 442. Meat and potatoes football. None of this fancy nandos stuff.
Never had nandos, is it posh?
Pretty sure Mason is not back is he?
Feck sake goldi, halfy goes to all that trouble as well!!!
Not posh, spicy and Portuguese.

Okay buddy, sorry to rain on your parade but Mason is still unavailable due to injury. Apart from that you probably are not going to be far off.
Can you see the Milky Way with the naked eye, Cinci?
I'm talking galactic centre and not vague dust clouds
Got a sneaky feeling that Saville will be involved today. But with a squad of 32 to choose from what hope do we have to predict what PL will do?
Aah yes thought he was fit again. Cav for Mason and Saville on the bench then.

Funny enough we pulled over last night in the forest to see if we could see any of the meteor shower but no luck.
NJ isn't the best for skywatching though where I live is better than most of the state and we do have an observatory up the road which is neat, gave it a look the other week.
Kansas was best for it though, literally feck all light pollution once past Topeka.
Maybe PL will motivate Paul Gladon and after scoring a hattrick today he'll go on to be our top scorer this season.
Nearest dark skies to me are to be found in Long Mynd. Every New Moon next year falls on days/nights off so will be heading over there next May to September to do some star lapses. Galloway Forest is just too far and the weather is generally bad all year round, but would prefer that if I was staying for a week and I knew there would be clear skies and low humidity.
Most interesting pay of team selection to me is how we support the main striker. In the absence of Edwards and Mason we don't really have anyone good at playing behind a lone striker. So would he be bold enough to play Bod and Dicko or even give a chance to Enobakhare
