Depends what he wanted, although I'm sure he would have loved to have won a league title he also loved playing for and captaining his boyhood club. Doubt he would have got as much joy winning a league title for Chelsea as he did any other trophy for Liverpool.

I have a gut feeling he will do a good job in management. If looks like he will give it a shot, so fair play for that.
