I am not saying what others should or shouldn't watch. I took OP and the following conversation to be asking me personally on my view
That was just my own view
I still watch old Arnie movies when they are on ffs am sure a few will.have something to say about that
I like Wizard of Oz but do find it scarry. Idon't like the flying monkies!
Seems like people are mainly naming hard to watch movies
If thats the case I will add three films to the mix
Mysterious Skin - I knew nothing about the film going into it, and nothing would have prepared me for it. Its obvious a film well made and well acted. However, it showed such a graphic and realistic depiction of abuse and its effects that I ended up hating the movie. Going into a film knowing nothing about it can be rewarding, but this was the only time when if I had known about the movie I probably wouldn't have watched it.
Earthlings - This one is a documentary which is a brutal depiction of human being's relationship with animals, and will only make you think that today we are living in some kind of dystopian nightmare. It covers everything from animal agriculture, fur industries, animal's in entertainment and animal testing. Really made me question man kinds place in the world.
Purge - not the american film but the Finnish/Estonian movie based on the book. Its about Soviet occupation in Estonia, and what people were forced to do to survive. Its a very well made film, but because of it being a Finnish movie, its therefore unknown to most.

People loved guys tripping over and their hats falling off back in the day.
Stan Lorel and Hardy were funnyer.
I agree they were. Chaplin stole his look and demeanour off of Stan Laurel, but those guys did the whole slapstick angle to a better and funnier effect.
One of your better threads flash..

One film I always watch when it’s on, even though I wouldn’t even put it in my all time top 10, is The Vikings with Kirk Douglas. Cannot believe should he get to 9th December he will be 100.
It’s mad, I always thought he was a better actor than his son. But in spite of 3 nominations, he never got an academy award, whereas Michael does have 1.
For me, its ET. I can't pinpoint anything wrong with it, I just can't enjoy it.
Films I always watch when on TV: any 80's Arnie action movie.
Film I wish was on TV but rarely is: Robocop
