One thing that last night achieved - it showed a wider audience what the PL is missing. LUFC MOT!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Carlisle made loads of noise when they came. Does the prem need them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
they dont have a top division title more recently than you though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Blackburn deserve to be promoted ahead of younthen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
nah mate because weve been in champs league more recently than them.

leeds, blackburn and leicester all won the title more recently than you lmao jokers
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed, and 2 of those are now mickey mouse clubs in the championship. 5 European cups chief. Didn't bankrupt ourself putting those runs together either.

dont cry bro, the time may come

GTW4times ................. all joking and banter aside, I'd much prefer to see your lot lift the Prem any day of the week compared to those soulless creatures just down the road from you (OT). But it just seems odd that your own manager needs to pump you up so to speak to generate some atmosphere for your own players to feed off.

Whether or not those in the crowd deemed it a meaningless game, it just seems a tad odd. I watched on TV last night and for large parts really couldn't hear the home support at all .......... just didn't expect that.

I hate coming on here and seeing rows and rows off copied and pasted comments!..

Its nearly as bad as not hearing a team being supported!..

Mind, these days it isn't as loud as before when you stood and it came out that bit louder!..

We played most of our reserves but we still sang

"Of course you outsung us, it was aa big night out for you. For us, it was a chance to watch a reserve side against a mid table championship side. Hard to get up for that."

Funny that, our away fans were just as vocal and strong in number when we were in League One, no matter who the opposition was.

Fans should not have to rely on the opposition to get up for a game.

Ive stood in crowds of 5,000+ away fans with Town at Chelsea, Boro, Arsenal, Blackburn amongst others.

Does that mean we deserve to be promoted too?

Your fans are first class, I would never deny that, but claiming you should be promoted because of them is just plain stupid.

Was sat in the kop last night with a work colleague who is a season ticket holder at Anfield. Was great to see the away end packed out and vocal from start to finish. WManaged to keep quiet but nearly gave game away when Roofe hit the post.

Biggest game in the past decade? Don't be ridiculous. We've had 2 trips to Wembley. The play off semis v milwall, our promotion winning game v Bristol, man u away in fa cup. Newcastle last week was bigger

Totally misses the point.

All he is saying is that great fans deserve to have their team playing at the highest level.

Not the same as the team should be promoted!

"Playoff semis witg Millwall. Says everything i ever needed tp say."

Pretty sad when playing Millwall was bigger than playing you lot, eh!

Play off semi final against those scoundrels for a place at Wembley not a big game??? You sure??

It was a bigger game though, promotion from the darkest era in the clubs history was more important than playing Liverpool in a cup we aren't going to win and we always fill away ends and sing for 90 mins anyway, no biggie here at all.

We take 7000 to Blackburn, I think you're overstating it. What ever amount of tickets we have, we usually sell them and wasn't it a full house for Liverpool as well? So perhaps a cup final for you too in that case?

League is far important to our fans. Liverpool is a great fixture with great history for both the clubs, don't get me wrong.

Harrogate
Ignore the sanctimonius bni dpping shirt front. I'd forgotten what a horrible place it is and parking was a joke. Didn't expect our reserves to win, pleased we were the better team, (finishing apart).

We will be taking 5700 to Preston on Boxing Day....I fail to see your point

posted on 1/12/16

If, nah, when we get home everybody will see how it is!..

Our club always asks for more tickets, so what I'd like to now is, did your club turn us down?..

Because I'm sure in the Premiership more will want to go!..

Actually next games are against Aston Villa and Brighton, recent Premier League clubs too.

Your lot can go back to failing to win the league again.

JLA ................... not sure the urchin is worth the debate to be honest.

They've spent the equivalent of some countries national debts on players, yet still come up short with the league title time and time again. Must be tough to start a season every time with so much optimism, yet face the harsh reality that they're coming up short again.
